Safe to install mods?

I don't care about it's multiplayer but I don't want a VAC tag on my account.

I'm interested in but two mods: one that adds console commands (to acquire resources and money to ease up on the loot grind) and other that adds dynamic weather to the game. Should I be concerned?

If you go into online section and switch off VAC Secure game, then you will be safe from using mods or other types of modification

Even VAC isn't going to affect actual mods that are marked as mods

Mostly safe. If you install mods, read what they tell you. Some mods can only be used on new saves other wise can break a save you have. If you mod make sure to back up your save files.
Dynamic weather mod I think does work, but it is very old so likely there will be bugs with it.
I wish the looting was harder, I cant find mods to make loot more scares.. because near end game you have so much crap lol. When I started a ng+ save I put all my loot in my stash and wont use it. i might just delete it lol. I honestly wish they had two ng+ modes. One for removing all recipes you had, but lets you keep the weapons you have on you. like 40% of the fun in this game, is lookin for loot.
would have been cool if they did what they did with DL2, add more ng+ loot.

You're right about loot. 15 hours into the game and I don't really think the "cheat menu" is worth it.

There is an exploit to duplicate items if you really wanted to. It's been in the game for literal years and the developers have never fixed it. I wouldn't really consider it as cheating, because it's an exploit in the game, it's the developers job to fix such exploits, can't blame players for using it and definitely can't ban people for using them either, when it's your job to ensure such things never occur in the first place, that is part of game development, bug testing and bug fixing. But this "bug" has been in the game for... sh*t since the game's release I believe. Still never been fixed... so.

But I duplicated pretty much everything on my PS4 account, even my legend level, and I've done a bit here on PC, so if the devs can't be bothered to fix, I guess people are gonna keep doing it anyway.
