Anti Cheat Question (VAC)

I'd Like to use a trainer (Cheats) I only ever play this game single player (forever alone face I know :( ) but I'm worried about getting a VAC ban on my account.

So my somewhat obvious question is, would I get banned for using a trainer in a single player game ?







* I understand there's a lot of hate around using cheat/trainers in games and I'm sure some people would like to add their opinions on the matter, but please don't give me hate for not having friends to play with and wanting to bring new life back into a game I ONLY play single player.

I've googled a bit, and there a plenty people who played this Singleplayer (at least so they say) and got Banned regardless, I would not try it if I were you.

EDIT: I just checked the options ingame, you can go to Options -> Online and then Turn off VAC. That way you should be safe. I personally still wouldn't risk it, but if you want to do it that would be the way to go.

you could just play with mods. adds plenty of replayability. no need to use cheats

Indeed I've seen said mod support for them game however I don't want to mod the game hence me asking about cheats/trainers. I enjoy the core game for the most part* and things I would like to change you can't get mods for.

i play on VAC secure games with trainers you should be fine as long as you don't do crazy ♥♥♥♥.

most mods for this game replace the Data3.pak file in the DW folder so when you start the game an error will come up saying game files have been changed but that just means you can play online but as you only play single player you should be fine

Don't listen to them. There is 0 reason not do disable VAC when you know you are going to cheat. Also, VAC bans are delayed. You don't get banned until way later.

Yeah I have a 1600+ game steam library and I don't want get black listed. becasue you got a vac ban for using a trainer you've answered my question (it's not safe and you do get banned)

Hello there,

Having finished the game several times, I currently use a trailer on single-player campaign for quite some time and, never had any problem at all.
As long as you're not using it while online, it should be fine.

ive only seen data3 mods and played with the code on data0

VAC Bans are generally delayed, it does not work seperately for Dying Light. It can take hours, it can take days, or weeks.
