How to Use "Throw Weapon" Skill in the "Power" tree for Dying Light
Hi Folks,

This is a stupid question I'm sure by a 'noob'. However, I am having the darndest issue trying to figure out how to throw a melee weapon. The instructions say tap the Right Mouse Button twice and then hit the Left Mouse button to throw. I can not get this to work. I have a melee weapon equipped and when I tap the right button x2 and then hit the left mouse button, my toon just swings the weapon as if in melee. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please be very specific in the instructions. I'm sure I'm just being stupid. This is driving me batty! Thanks!!

Right click once and then click again but this time hold it. Your character should lift up the weapon he's holding. Still holding right click, press left click to throw it.
If that doesn't work, check your key bindings.
Also worth noting is that it really isn't that much of an important skill. Sure you can use it to do a bit of extra damage, but I forgot I even had it.

Just hold right mouse, aim, and left click to throw.

Cool - thanks to all of you that responded. The instructions in the game said tap the right mouse button - not hold it. I am now up and 'throwing' - lol. Thanks again.

Thanks for the tip. I did notice that. I've been running around finding those rebar weapons to hurl. It's been great fun!! One thing I have noticed though is sometimes I can't find the weapon after throwing - even if there is plenty of durability left. Also, if you die I noticed that the weapon seems to be gone too...

Yep. Pretty much all you have to do is look away once. Sometimes they'll even get stuck inside a wall.
So yeah, the moral or the story is don't throw anything you're not afraid of loosing.
