and shotguns

even the ones with what ever special effects they include

Hellbeast is the best shotgun in the entire game. Is DLC though.

'Best' is quite subjective. Highest damage or most fun?
Advanced Police Rifle is the best base rifle. I think the Hellbeast is a fast reloading shotgun you can craft from simple components?

I like: Volkatronix Rifle, semiauto shotgun, Last Hope, Volatile Hunter Knife, Dark Machete, Heatwave crossbow and always Kuai dagger.

i mean like best damage and special effect or what ever ...also dps and or dpb

Seriously though, I'm not sure it's so easy to say which are the best weapons. Last Hope is the best melee weapon, everything else is arguable I think.

I find the Hellbeast to be a lot more effective than the engraved semi-auto shotgun (strongest variant). I don't know exactly why, but even single shots seem more effective than those from other shotguns that technically do more damage.
