Witch Queen cave question

The Witch Queen quest sends you to a cave to pick mushrooms, but suggests you visit at night so the volatiles that normally reside in it will be out hunting.

Yet even at night when I swim inside, there is a volatile in there? Is it meant to be?

I went there during day and nite yes i had 3 of them each time they cant swim lol i tried to get the shroom;s like 7 times and i couldnt until i watched it on a u tibe and it had i needed a grapple hook to get to the remoaning mushrooms so i had to wait for that and went back but i hid there during a night invaison thinking i would be found i was found hiding ugh i cant win for nothing woth those hunters i got the mushrroms during the day when i got the grapple than i went back to the witch and kicked her lol

it got to jump off the brige at night i was waiting for a while for night took on votiles and dead things and than i jumped but it wss not considered night time ugh so back to the bridge , jump without takeing them things out . *i meant in my upper post rep
liy that i hide in that cave during a night invaison thinking the hunter dude couldnt find me there it took a while but he found me i hide like a scared chicken from them i think i killed like 2 of them the rest had me for dinner ;O

If a night hunter press middle mouse button it shows all player locations for them as glowing silhouettes. You can't hide from the hunter, you have to destroy all the nests or die rough eight times to get him to go away... Or quit out I suppose. If you don't wanna face night hunters though it's best to just disable invasions in options.

you didn't need grappling hook to get to the other side, you just had to jump well

I didn't need the grappling hook to get all mushrooms either, but I am sure that on my first playthrough there were no volatiles at night in there. Now there is always one?

Mind you I always have gone in just after sundown. Maybe if I wait a few hours into the night it will be gone?

Or have other people gone in there just after nine and found no Vs?

I know this is old, but I found out the solution to this.

Go to a nearby safe house and sleep until night, then go into the cave. The volitiles should be gone.

It worked that way for me at least, after having the same problem.
