Edit: Well it seems the problem is due to a memory leak within the game. Windows reports low memory when in fact I have 3gb of headroom. Shortly after, the game crashes.
Funny thing is I played for hours without a crash before the latest patch.
Or open notepad - file/open or drag dop .scr file to notepad.
However, I didn't respond to bust your chops—I actually thought you might like a tip about Notepad.exe and other applications (especially if you're running Windows 10)—take a look here, where "Owner" is your Windows User Account name:
C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo
Opening up files with applications other than those Windows 10 deems to be the most appropriate or relevant choices can be a royal pain in the *ss. I find it a lot simpler to create a shortcut to my favorite and most often-used text (enriched and plain) and image editors so that I may "send" a file to my application of choice through the context menu.
Want to send a COPY of a file to a often-used directory—not a shortcut? Create a shortcut to that folder and make it a new SendTo resident.
Too, the Quick Launch folder is still there, and can be made to function the way it used to in earlier Windows platforms.
