Don't pass by! PS5 controller issues

Hello guys!
The game page in Steam states that the game fully supports the PS5 DualSense controller. Steam itself identifies my gamepad correctly, in addition, it works correctly in other games (including games that use adaptive triggers, etc.), but when I enter Dying Light 1, the game does not see my controller, the buttons do not work. When switching to the controller in the game control settings, the situation is similar. I dug up the entire Internet and did not find an answer to solve this problem.
I know that there is a mod that helps to use the DualSense functionality in the game, but is it really possible to fix everything simply through the settings in Steam (after all, it is indicated that there is full support)? If this is not possible, then I will just calm down and install the mod.
