How Can I Run Dying Light On My Low Spec PC?
I think I really like this game, I played a demo on the my PS4, and I thought of getting it on my laptop, since it is on sale. So do you guys think it can run on a low end LapTop something close to this. or a bit higher. for example: Intel Core i5-2410M 2.30 Ghz

4 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M

How about 2.70?

Your cpu is not the problem, its your graphic card, the 525m is just way too low powered for this game. You need a faster laptop.

But my graphics card uses the rams inorder to compensate... I bought it and ill give it a go and try it out and see. hope it works, ultimately .

Your graphic card using the ram will not help the game at all, if anything that will make it worse as its taking system ram away from the game. Why ask then ignore advice?

Just noticed I replied on your other thread, both your laptops are very low powered, neither will run this game great.

I don't want it to run great, just avrage, well I didn't ignore anyone, I just thought no onecared enough to reply so I though I'd buy it then see how it goes, maybe I might get a desktop soon, so it would be worth my 20$

I doubt the game will even run. 525M is seriously too low.

But I run some tough games, and they ran smoothly, I mean you can check out my library, the only game that I strugled with was Miscreated. Also I've played other non steam games and they all worked either okay or good/great

Your profile is locked, so cannot see your other games, but still the minimum for this game is a 560 yours is not even close.

http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-560-Ti-vs-GeForce-GT-525M

Scroll down to benchmarks, your card is up to 5 times slower than the minimum needed for this game.

Also the requirements for Miscreated are lower than dying light, so again that suggests you will not be able to play this properly as you stuggled with Miscreated.

Anyway you have it now, so see how it plays, some people can put up with much lower frame rates than others.

Can you tell us how it ran?

Alright, thanks guys for your time. I'll let you all know how it went. Happy new year.

The thing is and this is kind of a general rant, and its not just aimed at JoeZ or this game.

Many people try to play games on hardware that is just too low, and while they can probably get it working on the lowest settings and low frame rates etc, the point is your missing out on what makes the games great to start with, which is fast, detailed, high resolution graphics, fast paced action, smooth gameplay and great handling. Instead you get a game which stutters, is low resolutoin, can have low response times when trying to control it.

Now if someone had reviewed dying light, said it had bad low resolution graphics, low detailed environments, jerky gameplay unresponsive controls and frustrating to play, would you still be wanting to play it?? You see where I am coming from, essentially you and I would be experiancing two totally different games.

You want to play this as you have read the reviews and watched vids of how the game should play, but thats not the game your going to get running on hardware that is just too low for the game.
