How to play Hellraid DLC?

Hey, I've recorded a simple tutorial to help you access Hellraid DLC

I don’t understand why Techland did not give better explanations about this DLC, looks like they haven’t done enough playtest on it. Oh and if we do have to play everything in one go, it’s not great :(. I could see the save animation several times while in Hellraid, I thought it was saving my progression…

There aren't any checkpoints, the whole thing should be under two hours. It's a roguelike dungeon run, not bad, but nothing spectacular.

2 HOURS? Dude idk what you're playing but I explored every last little thing, even took a break to get some tea and it was all together 50 minutes. If you have to play 2 hours there's a problem on your end.

Don't get angry, haha. I'm a slow gamer, I know people have done it in less than an hour.

Not angry just surprised lol. The longer the better I guess :D, and I know people who have completed it in less than 30 minutes

Hum, one off completion time is an odd qualifier to go by I should think, since it's rouge-like/lite based after all.

Thirty minutes is very impressive. It's not that easy. The baddies swarm you just like in the main game but there's less space to move and essentially no parkour.

Hello, I purchased Dyning Light only to play the DLC Hellraid but without the DLC The Following (and no other) which what not indicated to be necessary.
So how can I play Hellraid DLC without The Following DLC...

Hellraid has nothing to do with The Following. Start a new campaign and complete the first main mission. After that there will be a Hellraid arcade machine at the shop in the tower, which is the first main hub in the campaign.

Good DLC.
Personally I like that dungeon stuff, dark atmosphere.
Difficulty spike is decent. A fair challenge on nightmare.
So, I see this DLC alongside the other "short" DLCs like Bozak or Prison. Kind of Time Trial, or Parkour/Power/Fight Challenge.
I'm fine with this also.

What I miss on Hellraid: where's my long-time motivation?
Playing Bozak gives me 3 Gold Weapon each run.
Playing Prison give me 7 Gold Weapon + 7 Kings + additional loot each run.
Hellraid gives me: 4k coins, wait what?

I have to admit, that Surtr Axe you can buy for the main game is totally badass. But.....that's all?
Hope that further content will be added, or some kind of reward/bounty system. Right now, after like 5 hours when you reach max level and got all the stuff, there is not really any motivation to play Hellraid (often) again.

For those who are also having problems completing the Well-Read Progress, here is my tip that does not require knowledge about the Windows and Steam system, and that in my view is the best option for a solution without risk of corrupting any saved game ( something that happened to me, thankfully it was at NightHunter).

The only requirement is that you have completed the main campaign.

In the start menu, go to play / campaign / new game / advanced / choose the last mission (Withdrawal) / choose the desired difficulty (I recommend Normal) / and enter

That way you will enter a game in the main campaign on the verge of finishing it, that way you will have some points to distribute and choose the skills you think best, since HellRaid does not let you take equipment you don’t have to worry about weapons, and being a "New Game" the notes there have not yet been collected.

ATTENTION
Once you have started HellRaid and taken at least one note make sure to complete it by taking ALL, as the progress of this achievement on Steam resets when you leave or complete HellRaid.

I apologize if there are any spelling errors, I do not speak English, but due to the large number of players with this problem I had to appeal to the Translator to help the community.

Spread that method.
