If you mean do you need to own the original Dying Light game to play The Following, then, yes, you do. Or (if you don't already own Dying Light) you can buy Dying Light Enhanced Edition. The Following is a paid-for DLC - actually more of an expansion (it's huge).

Dying Light updated to "Enhanced Edition." It went out as a free update for all users, its not considered DLC. Whether you owned the game before the update or not, it automatically updates to the Enhanced Edition. The Enhanced Edition is Dying Light, Dying Light is the Enhanced Edition... its the same thing. You don't need to buy it again.

As for "The Following" DLC, that is separate. You need the base game (now called Dying Light: Enhanced Edition), to play the DLC. You get access to it by purchasing the DLC from the store page, or by owning the season pass.

To be honest I can't find the base game on Steam any more. Just Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition.

You cant buy just the base game anymore. If you owned dying light before the following released you can buy the season pass or buy just the following. If you dont own the game the only thing you can (and should) buy is Dying Light: The Following-Enhanced Edition for 60 bucks which comes with Dying Light + Season pass.

The game + following DLC is more than worth the 60 bucks, but if you are not really interested in it then ya waiting for the next steam sale is prolly a good idea.

Yeah, it's on my wishlist. Wanted to try the base version to try as I have just splashed out on XCOM2.

I have dying light enhanced for ps4 and i hace my steam and techland accounts linked to it. if i buy dlcs for the steam version would it work for ps4?
