Enahnced edition is basicly just a simple update/patch, which is free for every1.
Enhanced Edition is an upgrade version of original Dying light.
The following is a DLC which you must buy it seperate unless you have already bought the Season pass which give you every DLC's content.
If you want to buy The following you don't need to buy Dying light one more time since your game has been updated to Enhanced Edition already but it does not say that your version is already been an Ehnhanced Edition.
All you'd have to do is either buy the DLC separately or get the Season Pack. Since you already own the base game, I'd get the Season Pack if I were you. You'd get any future content including the ones already released. The Following is included in the Season Pass.
You can get it about €8-10 cheaper off any of the authorized cdkey sites, or for about €30 at Steam here.
For us who don't own the game, we'd just get the "base game", which now is "Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition". It should include most, if not all the contents up to date.
INCLUDES
+DYING LIGHT GAME ENHANCED
+DYING LIGHT: THE FOLLOWING
+SEASON PASS
+BE THE ZOMBIE MODE
+ALL CONTENT UPDATES

It makes no sense for us to buy extra content this way...
Dragon Age Origins in example doesn't have it. Ppl who bought the game when it was released and didn't buy any DLC, now have to buy them all 1 by 1 at full price. While we who didn't buy it can buy the Ultimate Edition that have them all and is chaper than the base game plus all DLC. Bioware's support themselves recommend rebuying the game because it's cheaper than buying all DLC!
I think the confusion here is that they renamed the game, aiming for us who didn't buy it before, and it created confusion for those who bought base game and didn't buy any DLC. Now the game is named as if DLC is included, but it's actually not.
Instead of having gamers messing around, softhouse/publisher should step up with a FAQ explaining it clearly for every possible case, and provide support answering individual questions.
