Can someone explain to me the differences in Dying Light Games?
I have Dying Light and now it shows Dying Light The Following if I click Store Page.
But still appears to purchase the game.
Does this means that I have The Following or what?

I have to purchase a new Dying Light to have the Enhanced Edition? It will come with the dlc The Following? If not, why its called Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition?

I entered the game and it shows for me to purchase the dlc The Following.

The new base game called "Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition". Again, that is the BASE game's name now. if u wanna play "The Following" DLC, u need to buy it, or get the season pass which has all current DLCs in it.

Enahnced edition is basicly just a simple update/patch, which is free for every1.

You got the following as upgrade version if your have already own Dying light for free.

Enhanced Edition is an upgrade version of original Dying light.

The following is a DLC which you must buy it seperate unless you have already bought the Season pass which give you every DLC's content.

If you want to buy The following you don't need to buy Dying light one more time since your game has been updated to Enhanced Edition already but it does not say that your version is already been an Ehnhanced Edition.

So.. in another thread a guy claims that if u buy the base game now "Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition", then u actually get "the following dlc" too. I can't confirm or deny this, but I guess it explains why are they calling it like that then.

The base game which is Dying Light was recently renamed to "Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition" with the release of The Following. So even if you got The Follow DLC or not, it will still be named that. It was renamed with the update and everyone got the enhanced content.

All you'd have to do is either buy the DLC separately or get the Season Pack. Since you already own the base game, I'd get the Season Pack if I were you. You'd get any future content including the ones already released. The Following is included in the Season Pass.

You can get it about €8-10 cheaper off any of the authorized cdkey sites, or for about €30 at Steam here.

For us who don't own the game, we'd just get the "base game", which now is "Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition". It should include most, if not all the contents up to date.

INCLUDES
+DYING LIGHT GAME ENHANCED
+DYING LIGHT: THE FOLLOWING
+SEASON PASS
+BE THE ZOMBIE MODE
+ALL CONTENT UPDATES

Great... I paid the same the game costs now, so all this content should be free to people who got the game on its release... I made a pre-order of the game in that time...

It makes no sense for us to buy extra content this way...

It's a common practice for games that have been out for a year or more to release as "Ultimate Edition" or something similarly named. These usually include DLCs or something new along with all prior content. But instead of us having to rebuy the base game, they offer the DLC for sale.

Don't need to be rude guys. Ever since DLC business model came out, there are many ways of providing Complete Editions.

Dragon Age Origins in example doesn't have it. Ppl who bought the game when it was released and didn't buy any DLC, now have to buy them all 1 by 1 at full price. While we who didn't buy it can buy the Ultimate Edition that have them all and is chaper than the base game plus all DLC. Bioware's support themselves recommend rebuying the game because it's cheaper than buying all DLC!

I think the confusion here is that they renamed the game, aiming for us who didn't buy it before, and it created confusion for those who bought base game and didn't buy any DLC. Now the game is named as if DLC is included, but it's actually not.

Instead of having gamers messing around, softhouse/publisher should step up with a FAQ explaining it clearly for every possible case, and provide support answering individual questions.
