is this game good if I only play single player?
Is it meant for mostly COOP/online? Is there less content for SP?
Also do you recommend the game if I only plan to play offline?
I'm looking for a survival game with lots of exploration, that I can play casually without having to worry about other people. Is it the right choice? Is there a lot of replayability? Or will it get repetitive fast?

The reason why I avoid any online content is because I have AWFUL internet that loses connection every few hours or so randomly, and pretty much everytime I play an online game I ended up losign connectivity, and people think that I just quit. I would waste time, lose the progress and get a bad reputation, that's why I almost never play online.

I've never played Dead Island.

Thanks!

I've only played Dying Light singleplayer. I forget if there's extra stuff for co-op, but all the main content is in singleplayer. I've only played in offline too and enjoyed the game. Was a favorite of mine last year. If you played Dead Island, it's that, but better gameplay.

It's still fun but honestly, I'd rate it about a 7/10 compaired to 9/10 when played in co-op. With co-op, this is one of my favorite games of all time. Some of my favorite things though are the mechanics and gameplay, which obviously are present in singleplayer. I'd wait for a sale if it's just for singleplayer my friend

very good for singleplayer, it's like fallout 4, but much better and with zombies.

I've only recently started playing coop with a friend, but before that I played something like 68 hours single player and enjoyed it a lot. Coop is absolutely not required and single player definitely has a different (more spooky) feel.

I would say yes but, like you i play survival games and enjoy exploration and looting.....and i prefer to do this on my own.

In fact I have literally never been online, played co-op or anything of the sort, anyone thats says its too tough on your own simply gave up too soon.

I am running through the Following and having a ball, i don't have super weapons that do 100000's of damage per hit, my strongest weapon is only 1043 and i manage to put down everything i have encountered including but not limited to ALL the Boss giants (Thor was too easy as was behemoth but thats an aside) and everything else thats stood in my way.

It takes more thought to win because you can't simply charge in with a bunch of mates hacking and slashing however, you can cam up with zombie guts and stroll into nests and destroy them, the bow and crossbow with their assorted arrows and bolts are a MAJOR game changer for those wanting to play as only single player.

I am a minority single player gamer only (these days) though so please feel free to ignore me and listen to all the guys saying you simply must play coop/mp that will ultimatly put you off buying it or playing it.

Hope this is of some help.:steamhappy:
Thanks everyone! Is there a lot of replayability? Is there any reason to make you go back to SP after beating the story?

I would definitely try COOP if I get the game, but the thing I avoid any online content is because I have AWFUL internet that could stop working any second, and pretty much everytime I play an online game I ended up losign connectivity, and people think that I just quit. I would lose the progress and get a bad reputation, that's why I almost never play online.

Once you finish the story it's basically first person diablo with parkour. Fight monsters, explore the world, and collect the best loot you can find.

If you never play co-op, then why do you care about a bad reputation for connectivity loss? Is it so future Simsimsim generations don't have to live with the stigma?

I'm looking for a survival game with lots of exploration, this looks interesting.
Thanks!
I played more than 100 hours so far in Online-Mode & 10 hours in Offline-Mode.
I only played SP.

There is no less content 4 SP.
U can even do challenges / clear QuarantineZones again and again.

If u like survival-games with intense hand-2-hand combat & RPG & crafting-elements -
this is a game 4 u.

you can continue where you left after you finish the game or you can start a new game + making the enemy stronger..

LMAO well I don't know about you, but I think it's awful for whoever I was playing with if I were just to leave like that. If I were the other player, I don't want to play a game for 30 mins, and then randomly that other guy just "leaves" and I'm forced to quit as well.

Maybe this game ppl aren't kicked if their coop partner leaves. But I used to play a lot of competitive RTS online, and when you lose connectivity, the entire match just ends, and it really SUCKS for both side since we've invested a lot of time for nothing. I would be understandably pissed if I were my opponent, not knowing why the guy just quit.

Np in DL.
In this game it is seamless drop-in / out COOP.

Should be under options turn change from coop to single, as well as disable invasions.
