Mysterious Ratcheting Wrench

So I was lazing around Jasir's farmhouse, and I found basement keys hanging by the front door. I went down to the basement and found a collectable note, and a wrench. Crane picked it up, tested it out, and slipped it in his pocket I guess. It's not a weapon, and it's not involved in any blueprints I've found, and I can't find it in either my inventory or the collectables menu. Does anybody know what the heck it does?

i think its pickup to give the allusion of working the buggy

i think they maybe wanted to do somthing with it like fix the buggy on the road with it instead of a menu but they just scrapped it and left the socket wrench in the game.

I figured it out.

Some of the pipes leading from the pumping station are leaking. If you have the ratchet, you can use them to tighten the bolts and close the leak. I don't know what happens if you close them all, but I bet there's some reward for it.

You use the strange rocks to activate this magical symbol in a safehouse close to the Harran Dam. You don't need to fix the pipes for this.

I guess there's more than one. The wrench I found was in the small ground-level room attached to the water purification plant. It's the little room that doesn't lead anywhere with a few boxes in it.

Except, it’s a 3 years old thread. 90% of chances, they already discovered the answer, or they no longer care. Also, a recent comment on a discussion usually show up in the 1st page, so that’s how I “found” you.

There was a guy who responded me in a 6 years old thread from HL2. It all depends of the person who made the thread. I know he already discovered the answer, but it was worth asking. There were 90% chances that he wouldn't respond, but there still were 10% chances that he will respond. ))
