What's the Ratchet Wrench used for?
I'm assuming some sort of buggy upgrade requirement; Just was curious since I've found two now and the game hasn't referenced them in a tooltip yet, nor can I find them in my inventory.

I wonder this as well maybe it is explained later on in the expansion.

I feel like it doesn't do anything, I might be wrong, but I feel like its just a reference to dead island.

When I first met the guy at the gas station he gave me a buggy skin, maybe it was me giving him the wrench or does he do that every time?

I figured it out. Some of the pipes leading from the pumping station are leaking. If you have the ratchet, you can use them to tighten the bolts and close the leak. I don't know what happens if you close them all, but I bet there's some reward for it.

Only thing I have found is it sends water to some sprinklers in the garden back as Jasirs farm, haven't found anything else.

I closed four leaks and got some Trust XP after the 4th. There's still a leak outside the safehouse where you first get the buggy with no evident way to fix it.
if you throw it at a female zombie it will start twerking while talking about it's ghetto boyfriends and be like " he aint hurr and he needs to be taking curr of his kids nah ahm sayin tho

Has anyone else noticed if you start a NG+, there's no wrench to use anymore?

Or do I have to pick it up somewhere? I can't even remember how I got it the first play through.

Well, on my NG+ run, I couldn't find the wrench at any of the spots some say they've found it at, but I also noticed the puddles seem to have drained, which is the main reason I use it. Otherwise the buggy can get pulled into them and slow or stop. Especially the big one in the toxic gully under the bridge.

It would appear if you stopped all the leaks in your prior play through, the game remembers that in NG+, and drains the puddles.
