Requires " Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition"????
I want to buy The Following, but it says it requires the enhanced edition to play????

I have the base game, and do not have the season pass--cant i just buy the DLC?

The wording is confusing.

Has your dying light updated itself to the enhanced edition yet? There was a 3gb patch but honestly not sure how that size of patch is for enhanced features a DLC that is bigger than the main game itself.

I just got a 3GB update for the standard edition, I'll fire it up and see if anything is different, I doubt it will be though.

Yeah, it looks exactly the same if you don't have the DLC as far as I can tell. That awful film grain effect that ruins the visuals had been turned back on but otherwise looks identical. As I thought it would.

No, it's subtly different. You can actually turn the film grain off in the options.

I honestly can't tell any difference at all, but then again I don't have a lot of time in the game just yet. Yep, turning that crap off was the first thing I did when I played for the first time, I dunno why a lot of games have that option these days - looks like I'm playing it off a VHS tape.

Some people like it. There are a few differences to the way zombies act and the graphics are improved slightly to make everything look a little sharper. There are new effects and animations and a few new zombie skins. I think they changed the zombie physics a little bit to make it more realistic and now you can see the damage done to zombies better.

edit: zombie zombie zombie zombie zombie

After the patch, does the game name in your library change from "Dying Light" to something different?

I restarted my Steam client, and still dont see that any patch installed.

So how can i tell if i have the "enhanced" edition, so i can buy the DLC? I know i could most likely just buy it and refund it if it doesnt work, but im not sure how that works for DLC and not a full game.

You have the Enhanced Edition. And if it hasn't installed, verify the integrity of your game cache/restart steam.

I'll fire it up later and check it all out, seems like a good game so far, I found most of the time you can just completely ignore most of the zombies so hopefully they are a bit more realistic (even though they don't actually exist).
