troll quest, demolisher invincible

i am playing on new game plus and im doing the troll quest, in that quest you have to kill a demolisher but its invincible.

ive shot 60 shotgun rounds at him(2800 dmg), 160 police rifle rounds(200dmg) and i broke a couple of weapons fighting him(4 weapons with 4 repairs about 1400dmg)

pls help

Reload game. There's an occasional bug that causes Demolishers to be invincible. You can tell if you hit them even in the arms and all you hear is the metal clink sound and no blood trail.

i restarted the game and it still happens :/

i restarted the game and it still happens :/

That... sucks. Maybe try joining another person's game and doing the quest? A friend or a public game.

Lower the difficult level temp. to regular and see the results.Because I never had this issue before.

I had the same problem at the same quest but I fixed it by just quit and continue...

Are you talking about the named demolisher at the northwest area of the map in The Following? Who is so huge and powerful that he can rip up the ground to throw at you but is some how stuck within a fence he towers over and a house he's nearly as big as? ;)

My friend and I went to try fighting him and despite a few hundred rounds and some thrown melee weapons, we couldn't even crack his armor or damage him with shots to the face like normal demolishers. We figured we need to find some special item to help us out with him and decided to come back to it later.

Is there really a bug that makes him invincible?

He's talking about the "Troll Quest" which is a branch off of Rupert the Gunsmith's quest.
And the bug seems to be able to affect any Demolisher.

i just finished this troll quest about 45mins ago.....after dying about 20times.
a trick that worked for me was to stand inside the building that the troll bust off of with a melee weapon in hand.

When the troll tries to ram you he will not be able to fit in the hole and he will stun himself briefly.That is when I went out got a few hits in and dodged back into the building.I was able to rense and repeat until the troll was dead(after about 30min)

Also,while you're inside the building and the troll starts to throw the stone rocks step to the side behind the wall and you should be fine.

I'm not sure if this will work for you - but it did for me.

So, is this issue resolved? The troll seems for sure invincible to me after I jumped 4-6 times on his head, used 12 Molotov cocktails on him, used 70 Shotgun shells, 28 axes, and all my ammo from the police gun. Hell, in fact all my resources are gone ... because of a bug, it seems.

try using a good machine gun to his head and just DESTROY him with bullets

Yes, I know. I was talking about this particular giant-sized demolisher that's somehow trapped by a piddly little fence when he's capable of ripping up the ground and throwing it. Yes, I know all demolishers can. Which makes it even sillier that one three times as big is trapped by a fence half its size.

arrow can pierce shield so its more effective than bullets. With explosive arrow is GG. Get a nice bow with upgrade. And go with fire arrow to do DOT.

survive 23
combat 22
agility 19
when i kill it.
advice:
Dont get gloser and stay far away form ground. YOU can dodge the thing that he throw.
Throw things deal 50- 125 dmg depend on hit box, and closer combat if he does the charge in font of and you dont dodge ufff you are dead.
