Accidently deleted my character save files

yo i really need help guys i alredy maxed every skills in my vanila playthrough and when i played following dlc i skipped the cutscene so i delete the files that i thought character only for following but it deleted my vanila save files too. please i really need some help otherwise im not playing this game anymore from 0 all those grinds and all those tears just to get legend 250

go into the recycle bin and see if you can find them, if you do, select them and use "restore" option.

sadly it was deleted while in game and not the folder so it wont be in bin

there is a way to download backed up cloud saves directly but i forgot site it lets you on
or grab file recovery software and run that to search for deleted saves

You deleted your save file. What miracle exactly do you expect anyone to perform?

Data recovery is a complicated business, to go through that rigmarole and expect to come up with an intact and workable save file I'd say you can pretty much forget about it.

Data recovery is a complicated business, to go through that rigmarole and expect to come up with an intact and workable save file I'd say you can pretty much forget about it.

it doesn't have to be so complicated, long as new data doesn't go where the deleted piece was it should be possible to recover with little or no problems

To that end an essential first step would be to stop using the affected machine so that data doesn't get overwritten, until it is fixed; I have a feeling the poster is writing from the machine in question.

I'd still maintain the process is normally reserved for actually valuable data, not game saves, and the result is far from guaranteed. I'm not aware of any free software to do it with, either, for that matter.

it has been at least a year since i touched data recovery software on windows10 i have one but it'd be a hard search to find. something called testdisk comes to mind but that's for recovering entire partitions or deleted hard drives. the poster is definitely still on the same system but save files aren't the worst thing to lose just takes a long while to grind back up.

your welcome for the cloud storage page, i have to make use of it to recover all the old saves i never touched in ages before installing games just in case it messes up somehow.

this actually help but the data is overwritten with the latest files which where i deleted the chara

Yeah, uh, that's not how VAC works, like, at all. I've used cheat engine for steam games more times than I can remember and nothing has happened so far. VAC doesn't actually do anything unless you're playing an online game. If you're playing this game single player, you can cheat all you want and they kinda don't give a sh*t.
