value of items in dying light? something is off

ok can someone please explain to me.. why is it when you have an item in your inventory, in the lower right hand corner it will show you the item's valule for example( super sword is $14287) thats five numbers right?? So... getinng to the point why when i go to one of the trade ppl in the game they only want to give me for example ( $1200) for that item?? ..... SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS BUT do you know what vendor i can get the most cash from for my items?? cause the vendors in this game are not giving me the correct amount of cash for my items any advice or help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

yea weapons aren't worth much, if ya want to get money collect valuables like jewel pouches, jewel boxes, etc when you are searching and looting

the GRE chests in quarantine zones are great for this.

The Dragon Hotel quarantine zone is a great and easy place to farm valuable items.
Though I have little use for money anymore. If you dump legendary points into the bow/crossbow stat, you can pretty much 1-shot everything easily. And you don't cycle through weapons nearly as fast, meaning you don't have to purchase new ones.

i dont have legendary skill tree yet im level eighteen on survival, sixteen, on driving i think, an twenty on etiher power or agility im on the dlc stuck on down the ralbbit hole trying to upgrade so i went back to the main campaign will all previous stats i wouldnt dare start over that would be bad right

Yea when ya do the volatile nests, wait outside the zone until night hits if ya want maximum time.

as for weapons, yea I heard too that semi shotgun, and also shrapnal bombs is best

i keep dying ♥♥♥♥ why do they make the dlc so hard? is it because ppl kept cheating with the duplication glitch?

I guess the thing to note about "value" is that say the item sells for 14236 it'll only sell for 1/10th of the price rough, so 1423, or 1424 if they round up. Just incase you're trying to hit a set goal to buy something fancy you can add it up quick in your head. I did just realize eventually you get a talent to increase how much you sell for, but I can't say I actually noticed a difference. It may just increase the overall value and still sell for 1/10th of the price.
