I don't know if you can get banned, never used hacked weapons, I wouldn't use it for one reason, it would be too boring, and if you are playing online it would be unfair.

Hi, experienced tester here...
Modded weapons won't get you banned on their own, however...
You should NOT use them during online play, first things first, yeah, you could get banned if someone reported you repeatedly for using modded weapons / straight up accusing you of cheating.

(Try explaining to them someone dropped you the gun, not a very good excuse to use it)

(Also, don't use it in Be the Zombie, these weapons are unbalanced and unfair.)

Conclusion? Yeah, it might be risky...
If you are looking to mess around with it, play on private with friends or solo.
Make sure you don't interfere with other players experience.

If I was you, I would get rid of this modded weapon as fast as possible, because this type of weapons won't teach you how to play since it's teaching you how to cheat instead by insta-killing everything (including the night-hunter nests while you're playing at BTZ).

Nothing is too hard if you know how to farm the good weapons. Take some picklocks with you, change the difficulty on "Hard" and start farming purple / orange quality weapons to your collection by opening silver crates & Police vans. You have 5% of chances to find purple quality and 1% for orange one. You can also do some "Prison Heist" rounds for gold weapons, the bigger difficulty - the more time you'll get to finish the prison to receive "GURU" reward that grants you with same "Gold quality weapons only" from the silver crates at the armory. Each level up of your survival tree increases your weapons damage and you'll gain access to more powerful weapons. Leveling up legendary level also can increase your weapon effectivity by increasing one-handed & two-handed weapon effectivity from the legendary tree. Take my advice and don't use modded weapons if you don't want ruin your whole fun.
