Definitive Edition "Graphical Optimizations"

Are there any for PC? Were graphics improved in any way? Did something change?

The Definitive Edition doesn't improve the graphics. It's simply just a cheaper and more convenient way for players to get all the in game content.

so you are gonna pay more money for an inferior game just because there isn't ray tracing? Lol, do you even realize DL2 doesn't have ray tracing either?

The game got tons of performance optimizations AND visual updates in the first year after launch. This is just a Complete GOTY Edition.

Well technically (Someone is bound to say it.), nvidia's raytracing isnt a true "path tracer". So that is what they proably mean when they say it doesnt have raytracing.

But nvidia calls it raytracing, its based on a simpler model of real path time tracing and it still essentially does the same thing. Just at a much lower rate and no temporal accumulation. Or something like that anyway.

I still consider it raytracing. And I own pretty much 99% of the games that have this feature. Im just waiting on a good 50-80% sale for dying light 2. I woulda bought the game launch day but I was irked the game had no gunplay. I can only take like 20 or 40 hours before I get tired of whacking things.

Damn shame that the original game didnt get some rt effects as well in this "upgrade".

DL 2 is definetly inferior. lmao. It lacks almost everything that made DL1 great.

Who cares if other games are better? There's always someone being better at something than you are.
DL being better than DL2's in some points doesn't make DL2 a bad game itself.
There're more colors in the world than just black and white.

DL2 itself might not be a bad game, but the issues it has certainly doesn't help it. Especially when the OG game just has more to offer than the sequel.

What bothers me personally is that techland still to this day hasn't given DL2 players any quests on their website. It's been like 4 months since the game release, most people who played the game already left, and they still won't add any quests to get more exp so you can claim more rewards. Dunno, I personally wouldn't even start playing DL2 until they actually fix that ASAP although there are barely any rewards to be claimed for DL2, the best ones are for DL1
