Crane is a complete idiot?! *Spoilers*
*SPOILERS BELOW*

-

So not only does Crane immediately burn the Antizin when asked by the extremely shady-sounding GRE woman (even though he himself is infected!) he then hides one bottle of Antizin in his shorts and...never uses it?

I'm in the museum now and Crane is having his 100th episode of seizures. Last time Brecken rescued me and Crane didn't even think to say "Hey I'm having seizures and need more Antizin." The Tower is literally giving Antizin out at the start, and even if they're low on it, we're supposed to believe they wouldn't give any to their *best runner* when they're giving it to total randomers who are sitting around eating all the food? o_0

Even the small amount of Antizin Rais gives you is apparently enough for "everyone for a few more days".

I mean, Crane's even single-handedly going into the museum to rescue Jade 3 days after having massive seizures and not getting his meds, and he thinks it's going to work out well?

Then Antizin becomes super important when Jade is infected and it becomes even more stupid...Crane has a dose of Antizin IN HIS FREAKING TROUSERS and yet he whines that there is none left and Jade dies. What. A. Clown.

Other than the main story this game was awesome, but I honestly don't know what the writers were thinking with the cringy and ridiculous death of Jade and the Antizin plot.

If you mean the folllowing then no.

The whole plot point is that there are people in the country side who are supposedly "immune" to the virus, and since harran is running out of antizin(I would guess they gave crane a dose before sending him off) they wanted to see if this was true.

Later on you find out about this cult that has a "blessing" that purifies your blood and keeps you from turning, I don't know why or what happens next since I am not done with the DLC.

Top agent Crane, he was bitten in less than what 10 minutes. Sent in with no knife or gun. Crane was picked probably because, no one else would go, or even the janitor was to important to send in. A team extracts. One man distracts. Anyone who goes in dose not come out.

When he first drops he has weapons. Definitley a pistol, I believe he uses a knife at one point too. But his firing off the gun at the guys that attacked him on landing is what draws the zombies that bite him and eat that other dude. I think you're supposed to accept that it was him getting concused from being jumped that is the reason he can't handle himself and ends up infected.

I stand corrected gun yes ,no Knife. Attacked by Rais thugs yes. Looses gun. Concussion yes. Infected Yes. Saved by Amir and Jade. Amir dies. Crane was even told he had antizin that was longer any good. Now we get to the skill tree, no skills. The only skills Crane gets, we earn them all. Jumping during the daytime with not one skill set, and seeing a Vacant city streets, cars on fire. This is alot more than the briefing on the plane disclosed. Yes. Then he goes up to the 13th floor of the Tower with all the blood shed.Yes. Crane gets on the radio just to check in. No "what the hell'. Just "I didn't blow my cover. Yeah I started a new game just to check. I have no problem being corrected DoseUntoOthers. Thanks

Well to be fair.

Crane is UNATURALLY talented at parkour, even Rahim(or whats his name is, the kid who wanted to blow up the volatile nest) said so. And I doubt he got that skill without any training.

Furthermore crane seems fairly adept with firearms(I would assume everyone else had to train), and is suprisingly athletic.

Not gonna lie, crane made some STUPID choices in the game, i dont think he knew what he was getting himself into. its not his fault though, hes a damn agent sent to retireve a folder (which he failed to do a few times) but crane made some baad choices and it becomes worse in the following. i think this explains the sequel's big emphasis on choice as it will be our choice not some irrational thinking person

my theory, even it has no proof at all, is that the virus make you super strong and athletic on predisposed people

Well, considering this virus makes volaties who are freaks of nature in term of EVERY category(speed, strength, durability etc) its a maybe.

Although I am still sticking to, everything crane learns in the game is for zombie apocalypse enviornment and he IS in fact a trained agent.

Yeah I always though he was dropping the ball there.

Could of at least stowed a few boxes in a drain pipe or something, I mean the Gre wanted it destroyed to force a meeting with Rais. He didn't really have to destroy is, just hide it and say he did.
So much this, all he had to do was stash it far away from the drop site and on top of that, I'm just saying, if it was me who had just gotten infected and was told to burn some of the rare stuff to stop me from being a zombie I'd have taken the drug. If it's a situation where there seems to be the GRE watching then I'd stuff the box with some of the grass near the drop after stashing the meds in a backpack, then close them and light it up.

I don't think Crane had the antizin on him anymore at that point, it never actually bothers to mention it but I assumed that Rais would have taken it from him when they stripped him of everything else including his radio and tossed him in the pit. What did annoy me greatly about the museum was, why/how do I lose my entire inventory before fighting Tahir? The pit, yeah sure, I was captured and stripped of possessions, fair enough; but the only person who was with you, like close enough to do anything, was Jade when you went on that infection induced trip and she can certaintly hold her own even when injured and infected. I don't think Rai's men snuck down, stripped me of weapons, and snuck away before she stabbed me with the injector, so where the hell did all my stuff go (yes, it can be found in the player stash, not what I mean)? It was like an ex-machina FU for the sake of contrived difficulty cause "boss battle".

Actually one thing I liked was that it seems Crane’s supernatural “survivor sense” ability that detects special infected and items is a “good” property of the infection. Because when he’s having seizures it switches on several times automatically, most notably when it detects Jade is a Viral *before* she turns. Presumably it’s how the infected know who’s infected and who isn’t.

His physical abilities are amazing and he certainly has combat training. It’s just a shame he dropped out of school at 4 years old XD

Quite honestly, what really grinds my gears is the fact that it takes three whole days for Crane to have HIS FIRST SEIZURE but Jade goes from healthy to zombie in a matter of hours. Hell, her brother turned in a matter of MINUTES!

Lets just pretend this game has no story.

As I recently started to play from scratch again, I can confirm Crane is personally my worst game protagonist.

But this game wasn't about characters or story at all. ^^

I either disliked The Following ending (both of them) and wonder what Dying Light 2 will be about.
Guess I won't buy it in an instant, rather wait how it will turn out.

Yet the gameplay aspect is that superior for me, that I really enjoy this game. :steamhappy:
Even though I mostly suck at it. XD
