I recently finiished a clean install on a new SSD. Windows and Steam just aren't playing nice at all together - nothing devestating, just annoying with the repetitive troubleshooting. Mostly minor ActtivX dll's when launching a game on Steam.
Tried installing this specifically? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light\_CommonRedist
Also latest net framework.
I've been playing on this Windows 7 Ultimate for several years now, two years Dying Light without any crashes or any other issues. Never had any issues in other games either.
Right now, I don't like Windows 8 or 10, and wouldn't upgrade even if I could, not even for free.
If not OS, it's your PC / laptop.
Try this if you haven't yet http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-3091492/fix-missing-msvcp110-dll-error-windows.html
You may have faulty software, try a complete reinstall of it. Also run the game as an administrator. You may also try running it as Windows 7 compatibility.
It would be useful if you provide your specs.
tried reinstalls already. everything is up to date
I don't know then if nothing worked, only thing I can suggest is trying different OS.
I won't speak for others, but personally, I'm not inclined to continue a guessing game.
