Scrolling on Second Monitor Randomly
Hi all, been trying to finally complete DL before I dive into DL2, however am facing a quite annoying issue that almost every time I attempt to change weapons with the Mouse wheel or Scroll out on the Map or Scroll down in my Inventory it almost always Scrolls down what ever is visible on my secondary monitor also - and as of yet the only fix I have found is Alt+tab out and Alt+Tab back in, tried Windowed, Borderless and Full Screen modes however it makes no difference - I also tried to record this occurrence happening though the funny thing was that once I opened my recording software, it would not do it what so ever, have even had to force myself to stop using scroll to switch weapons as it is so distracting seeing my right monitor scrolling as well while changing weapons, which to this day in my 17+ years gaming have never come across another game that decides to implement this annoying feature, I play ALL of my games in Borderless mode if permitted so then when Alt+Tabbing, does not cause screen flickers and sometimes randomly crash certain games when tabbing in and out frequently on Full Screen.

Has anyone found a fix for this as I figured changing to Fullscreen would fix the problem but it haven't, any help would be greatly appreciated!

"If you use two or more display devices/monitors/TV sets, disconnect them and use just one, please, as the game does not support multiple displays." Is what Techland support told me via email.

This issue is also in Dying Light 2 (although it seems to happen less in DL2).

I've looked around, and the only solution I found was to use software that allows you to lock your mouse to the window it's in. I did this with the "use mouse lock hotkey setting" from the "Borderless Gaming" application (I'm sure there are others that do this too, but I already had that installed).

It seems to work ok, but acts kinda janky sometimes (I think after alt tabbing, but I'm not sure).

As for the cause? Not exactly sure, but look what happens when I press CTRL to see where my mouse cursor is, and compare that to where the game thinks my mouse cursor is:

Thanks for that, after doing a bit more investigation it seems either their Game Engine does not support or they neglected to add the feature that locks the mouse to the game window, I noticed (even when the mouse is not visible) that if I mimic the movement of moving my mouse to the secondary monitor, it will then scroll (if the invisible mouse is technically on the second monitor) the content on the secondary monitor, though if I move the invisible mouse back towards the DL window, it then doesn't scroll on the secondary monitor. I mean c'mon Techland this was one of the first things I learnt when using unity was to Lock/Unlock the Mouse to the Game Window as well as making it Visible or Not Visible at certain points in the game XD

If you're on Windows 10, go to your mouse settings and un-check "Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them".
