Get rid of the ads!

There's 2 ads you have to click through every time you start it up. I launched this game, I want to play this game, not the second one. Annoying!

What they've done to the first game with these ads is so disapointing. Wanted to play DL1 again but all off these aggressive "BUY DL2 NOW" make me sick ...

the ads are not nice. but i remember ads in counsterstrike when cs:source got released. all maps were littered with ingame cs:source ads. it was disgusting.

Ya pretty jarring. I specifically passed on DL2 after reviews and gameplay footage to come back to DL1 with a friend - only to be bombarded by something I already know I dont want.

You can get rid of the first one by adding -nologos to the Steam launch options. I play with a keyboard so it takes me a fraction of a second to hit Escape to get rid of the other one.

Having to do that each time I fired the game up would mean I could play through the entire campaign and still lose a lot less time than it's taken me to read this thread and type this post.

the first two ads when launching are not the most annoying in my opinion ,don't get me wrong they are but it's not the worst . the worst are the giant "posters" in the game that totally break immersion ... remind you that you are in a product made by techland, no more in a post apocalyptic world ...
