Need Help Getting Down from Infamy Bridge!

I'm at the story part before meeting with Reis the first time. I climbed the big bridge stanchion diagonal wire to the top and got the Surprise MFs blueprint but now I cannot get down at all.

All the red doors and inner ladders are locked and inaccessible. I do not have a grappling hook. I've gone up/down/zipped over to the other tower - nothing works.

Jumping off the side into water = instant death. Trying to jump back onto the diagonal round vertigo-inducing wire = instant death.

Every single time I die I respawn at that tower top safe zone so that I get to die again, and again, and again and lose more survivor points (I'm only lvl 11).

How do I get down? This endless loop of death Sucks and means I won't be able to play this game anymore. Any help Much appreciated.

Wait wha? I've jumped from the top of bridge into the water and never had an issue.

same. as long as you land in like 6 ft of water you are fine

If your Skills tree is too low to jump: Select a repeatable Quest like a Quarantine zone or Prison Heist (has the added benefit of being close to your current location and always early morning when you exit). Quit to the Main Menu and then select Continue.

Thx for replies - after I Ctrl-Alt-Deleted out of the game everything worked out.
I restarted DL and it was in windowed mode (?!?) for some reason however I was thankfully back at the tower.

As for jumping in water from a tower top - I would *really* like to see someone post a video of successfully doing that w/o dying as soon as they hit the water. I died couple times doing that.

And there was only one vertical rope to slide down - but that just puts you at the first landing with locked red doors and still too high to survive a fall.

That Sucked, but I'm soo glad I wound up back at the tower. Rage Ctrl-Alt-Del is my buddy.

It is possible, but you do have to jump from somewhere that you will make it clear of any of the rocks close to the bridge structure at the bottom

I think you can get that jumping from the deck though.
