Any way to disable the annoying dying light 2 ads in the menu ?

I don't know who came up with this annoying scheme but i absolutely despise the fact that the game forces open a dying light 2 ad on the main menu that i have to exit every freaking time.

Also when i disabled community events why does it keep reactivating it each time i launch the game and i chose single player explicitly ?

Any way to disable those community events permanently ?

I any case i will not buy dying light 2 just because you keep shoving it in my face all the damn time.
Anyone interested in the game could have been alerted with a small popup in the main menu but using it to force you into a menu to "buy" it directly is just scummy.

These pop ups have been a thing in this game since forever, including ones for community events and it takes a single press of a button to close it. If you're agitated that easily by such a non-issue, I would recommend looking for a therapist.

It's not about being annoyed or upset, it's just optimizing your gameplay experience. Downloading games to SSD streamlines launching and waiting for levels to load. Some games let you go in the files and delete certain splash screens.

But it is enough to click on one click because it shows DL 2 before the premiere or the events of the game. But why go into game files and change as soon as you click a button and you're done? But what does ssd have to do with it? because only one thing annoys him which is not a problem

The SSD was for an example. It's all about convenience here.

it's the principle behind it, for years now all these little "practices" seeped in games and it's become the new normal.
Yeah i'm an older gamer, yeah i get annoyed by these things.

Make it just an ad in the corner or hell even the background but don't make it "activate" by default so you HAVE to see it.

It's like normal ads, you like ads in real life for stuff that you paid for ? I sure don't, not even for upcoming games.
I find it aggravating that this whole new generation of gamers seems to find all those little things "normal" today and that's exactly what the industry was aiming for.

Gradually creep in with more and more stuff and soon it'll be normal.

Granted, this game has only the main menu annoyance and the ingame flags and graffiti so it's not too bad.

Extreme example : how long before you get up in the morning and your alarm clock requires you to listen to an ad before you can turn it off ?
I'm not specifically targeting this game, there are far worse examples out there.

But instead of just answering if it is possible to disable these ads and the community events permanently, most of you don't even try to see my problem, let alone try to help. You just defend blindly most practices pushed by major publishers and developers.

Anyway i DO enjoy the game itself, that doesn't mean you should accept everything as "normal" or admissible.

I agree with Aris. It is annoying especially since i already payed for it. It's not game breaking annoying or anything like that. It's just 1 more little thing being shoved down our throats. Were a simple little Buy Dying Light 2 symbol on the main screen could be just as effective and less in your face ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buy our stuff. This format has kept many games alive past their times.. Ark, WoW, Everquest, GTA and many other games still alive and should be dead. So the fact its a full page is a little annoying. As for those flaming him call him a whiner get a therapist.. Well get a life kids people have different opinions maybe ignore his post next time. Hitting esc isn't hard just should be unnecessary.

Magnificent, and heartbreaking. Like finding that one perfect piece of jewelry to buy your wife for your anniversary, and then realizing there's no way you could ever afford it.

Miss the good ole days of Cartridges/disc. If the game was released broke then it was a cheat a hack or super secret trick. PvPers didn't ruin games for PvEers and well PvP wasn't really a thing unless you enjoyed split screen. Now though you buy a game by the time you done with it, Its morphed into 10 other games and none are what you payed for. Of course back then we found out about new games by word of mouth and well in my case Nintendo Power Mag but my damn games were left alone.. LOL rant off.

in my game there should be no ads when its not free to play garbage. everybody knows DL2 dropped and i don't need to be reminded to buy the inferior version of DL 1.

forza horizon 4 took the cake by playing an ad for their dlc content after a season change. they play a unskippable video full screen!

everyone who tries to defend this and argues that this is ok in any shape or form, is part of the reason this industry is loosing in quality and consumer friendliness.

if anybody has an idea how to mod this sh1it out of the title screen, pls let me know.

Add -nologos to the startup parameters removes the first large screen but does not remove any other adverts. Really lost all respect for these developers.
