Ive completed this game and both the following and bozak horde dlc on nightmare and the pit is by far the worst designed part of the game, and usually the only time I ever die during a story mission. The worst part is its not even hard, its just an XP dump.
Also, I don't think the devs intended for the player to use meta knowledge and grind airdrops for 500 hours until they maxed survivor rank and unarmed before entering this mission. The mission is not designed for these difficulties (hard and nightmare were later patched into the game) and it shows. It's just completely broken.
There's one part in the escape sequence where if you die at that specific spot on nightmare, you will keep respawning infront of 2 of rais's thugs and they will spawnkill you with their rifles everytime the checkpoint gets reloaded. You get some spawn protection, but its usually not enough to get away in time, so it's not uncommon to die 3-5 times in a row there. On normal its fine and you can get away, but for hard and nightmare It's obviously not well designed, and they shouldve adjusted this mission when they introduced these higher difficulties.
This mission is infamous for being broken and bad on the higher difficulties, I'm aware of that, all I did was vent. Idk why people interpreted this as me having trouble completing the mission. I really don't. I appreciate your attempt to help but I really, really don't need help.
