Windowed mode alt-tab cant click on anything

i like to play in windowed mode, and when i alt tab i cant click on anything else outside of the game. i can only start clicking things again once i Ctrl-Alt-del, happens everytime i try to alt tab out of the game.

anyone know a fix to this?

Don't alt + tab out. Exit from the menu.

It helps the but the issue persists. It does make alt tabbing easier but you wont be able to click sometimes still. Best fix is to alt tab then do Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Esc.

You can alt+tab and then right click your task bar, open your task manager and then it will work... So stupid that I have to do that, though. I wish there was a better fix

The amateur developers probably didn't know how to fix this or didn't care. Alt Tabbing is a basic function that a vast majority of games do properly. This is the only game I've ever played that actually locks up my computer and makes me mash the same buttons over and over to eventually let me use Task Manager to close the game.

still having this problem ? it seems like when this happens the pc thinks that the ctrl button is pressed. i found this out when I pressed a button and it activated the ctrl command

Sorry to necro this thread, but this is still an issue. I was wondering if anyone has found out anything yet. I tab out of all my games constantly and while pulling up the task manager does free up my computer, I really would like to not have to do this every time. It's very irritating.

I also alt tab all the time. but I dont seem to have this issue. i play with borderless window mode, and alt+tab out for youtube to use steam etc. no issues.

the only things i can think are causing this is if you either are using laptop, or have a LOT of tabs open maybe? i only have 3-4 open max.

I'm pretty much exactly like you. Running PC with borderless window, and have only a few tabs open at a time. The two other people I'm playing with are also having this issue.

I have this issue when I alt-tab and try to do something on my other monitor.

The only solution I have found is that after I hit alt-tab, I move my mouse over to the 2nd monitor I right click three times and that gives me access to everything else outside the game.

Don't know if this method will help anyone else seeing as I don't know if you all are running multiple monitors and I can't check if it'll work on just one.

Same issue, and before people mention "necropost", this forum was the first result.

Often i have to right click anywhere else to free the cursor, but sometime, it doesnt work, i am forced to open the task managed so i can use my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouse.

I can't believe this issue still exist after so many years considering this thread was opened in 2018.
