Do you lose survivor points at night?

Alright this is a stupid question, and I have this game since practically the release and I hadn't noticed. Anway, I read you don't lose survivor points if you die at night. Is this true? That was an old thread so is it still a thing?

It's true. Difficulty doesn't matter as well, you won't lose Survivor skill-tree points upon death at night time. You may still lose a smaller amount if you suicide for example fall to death, walk in toxins, fire, etc, I don't remember this part surely but you definitely don't lose if you are killed by enemies.

Legend skill-tree on the other hand will lose experience upon death even at night time. Nearly no loss on Normal mode, 25% loss experience towards next rank on Hard mode and entire 100% experience on Nightmare mode.
