Does Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain actually improve performance?
I play on a lower end computer, and was curious if these two options actually do improve performance, since they're on when setting the game to the "Best Performance" preset in graphics.

Also, what stuff can I disable besides Vsync and Anti-aliasing to improve performance?

I don't think Chromatic Aberration and film grain affect your performance in any meaningful way. They're pretty simple processes. But they're still processes, so if anything, I think they'll take computing power, rather than free it up. Disabling them might give you a frame more.
They look like ♥♥♥♥, so whatever frames you gain from having them enabled, aren't worth the drop in visual fidelity. I'd always disable it.

Also, turn down your view distance. View distance and AA are probably the biggest frame eaters in the game.

You can always use the config file to set the Shadows to Low instead of Medium, since the in-game settings only allow you to lower it to medium. But I highly recommend using Geforce now as a way to playing this game on max settings.
