Bozark Poster Challenge Broken

Ok so I have tried 5 times to complete the shoot the gas tanks challenge and they never blow up. I hit them and nothing happens. Am I supposed to do these challenges in order or are they just broken?

I don't remember any gas canisters need shooting. Do you mean the challenge where there's one of those rock throwing monsters and gas canisters situated on the upper edge? If so, those need throwing through the hole in the wall above the entrance where the monster is.

No it is the one with the hazmat suit guys and you have to shoot the tanks on their backs to make them blow up with the rifle the challenge provides. You have to make 8 of them blow up unless you manage to get lucky and blow up guys around them too.

I moved onto the run around challenges as they should hopefully work, well once it is daylight in my game.

Have now completed every other poster challenge except this one. Still can't get the tanks to explode.

Don't know why it isn't working for you, it's perfectly fine for me and all my friends. You need to shoot directly in the gas tank. Even if they are dead, you are still able to blow it up.

I have literally shot a tank 15 times and all I get is a little hiss and no explosion. I even wait between shots. I am getting bounce shot kills on the surrounding zombies without ever blowing up the tanks. I have even shot the valves at the top and nothing has happened. I am not sure where else to shoot the tanks.

For me i was just use FIRECRACKER on a guy with toxic suit and tank behind, all zombies come around him and you just shot the tank, its easy. you just need to shot the tank to all places and it work. Don't need to have specific target on the tank, if you have no explosion its a bug, so try to join an other game of friend to complete challenge. You can add me to do this

I will have to see if I can join someones session and try that. I have tried this challenge several times now using the firecrackers and then shooting the tanks, and nothing has happened. Only challenge I can't pass due to this glitch.

Not sure what changed, but I did a few more challenges, other than the poster ones, and then went and tried this one again and now it works..smh. not sure why it worked this time, but I did a verify so maybe that fixed it. Who knows. Thanks for all the advice and attempts to help though.

Outside of 20ft all zombies are decoration and you only get minimum xp for them and they won't count for progress (yes, this means you will mostly be in thier blast radius). This is part of the games culling system to preserve resouces by only having so many complex AI active at once. Sadly if you snipe a 'dumb' ai zombie you get minimal xp, fire won't hurt them, and they don't react to firecrackers...until you get in range.
