How can i play Dying Light on Windows 10?
Hi, i just installed my new gaming pc and i want to install Dying Light. But the thing is, it says that i'm on an invalid platform (thus it can't install on Windows 10 for it is not compatible). On the other hand i see other people on these discussions saying they have Windows 10 and it still works? Is there some way i can trick steam or does it have something to do with my hardware drivers?

I have windows 10 and I am able to play the game. Try changing to the compatibility of the game. Go to where the game is installed, (most likely in local disk c:, program files (x86), steam, steamapps, common, dying light). Right click on it, properties and try to change it to windows 8. If you have any more problems, you would have to contact Dying light Dev team

Yeah i thought of this, but i don't have anything installed from the game yet and therefor i don't have any game files to configure :\

It definetely has to work. I played this game many times with Windows 10 and with nearly the same assets as mentioned by you. The game is about 2 years old, like Windows 10. So it has to work on the system! Maybe you have to check the latest updates of the game and of your version of windows?

So are you saying that the game is not installed? or the game is installed on steam, but the file does not exist? Try to validate file on steam, and if that does not fix try deleting and reinstalling the game

But i don´t even have the game installed yet, and when i try to do so, it says my platform is invalid or something. Anyway, i just found out that my Windows 10 randomly installed a 32bit version instead of a 64bit version so i´m screwed anyway i guess.

is your OS 32bit or 64bit its no nessiraly try might be your hhd your installing to got it running first install to 2 i3s & my i5 on 1064bit pro fully activated uptodate on onlder 650ti && 660gtx video cards no issues that bug occurs only if you have a rogue file i use cc cleaner for registry cleaning & cleaning your registry will reset the files downloaded to 64bit.

Just installed the 64bit then mate maybe it will help. Not gonna cost you much for that( I think ) and maybe we can play together sometime. And please tell me if installing 64-bit version work , if not I have a friend who's an expert on this kind of stuff maybe I can't ask him for you

I would like to play with you when it works, anyway i still want to get my Windows to run on a 64bit base because it is simply a little bit better. So i don´t want to install it here. However these days my internet download speed is fluxuating between 200 and 500 KB/s xD, so the process is going to take a long while to download Windows 10 on a USB again...

But could you hook me up with this friend of yours? Because my ´System´ says my processor is x64 based but WIndows is currently on 32bit. But on the other hand when i search ´System Information´ it says next to System Type that my PC is ´X86 Based PC´?
So i´d like that friend of yours telling me or us if my System Type is saying that my whole PC isn´t compatible with a 64bit OS.
