Graphics card maxing out
I have a I7 8700k cpu and a Asus GTX 1080 TI OC good air flow and a dust free pc but whenever i start dying light even with all settings on low and at 1080p V-sync on my GPU usage goes to 99% and temp shoots into the high 80s anyone knows what is going on here?

Could be background programmes, malware/viruses, bitcoin miner. It's normal for gpu to be in 90%~ in games, but not that high of a temperature. Not entirely sure what it could be since you said you play in 1080p.

Only in dying light? hm, then i literally have no other idea aside from that it might be somehow being upscaled to a very large resolution. I'll have a look for you and try to find something that will help.

This is all i could find, other than people saying to turn on vsync to stop your PC overworking itself, but you did that already.

-Driver Update
-Reinstall the game
-if you let gforce experience manage youre games deinstall it
-check for virus
-if you have third party programms who manage youre system deactivate it
-deactivate anti virus programs at least

check your FPS and cap it to your refresh rate or it will go way higher and use more resources than needed, that was at least my issue.

yea this is solid advice. i had to cap my fps to 100fps because my 1080ti even at 1440p would render far more frames than was needed for my display. the high fps introduces a ton of stuttering. while my temps weren't an issue it just made sense to cap the framerate
