Stuck in the arena of the invincible Demolisher Hard mode

So I was playing earlier on my laptop and I managed to get the Demolishers health down by 1/4th but then the unthinkable happened and my laptop shut down to protect itself from overheating

Next thing I know I have a corrupted save file, and its attempting recovery or something..... It dropped me back into the arena with the demolisher... except now the only weapons I have available to me are....... rusty pipes... and rusty pipes arent doing bunk to mr Demolisher.

Even if I manage to take some health off as soon as I die hes magically recovered and my only available weapon is........ a......... rusty pipe

I feel like I am completely boned here

thrown weapons seem to do more damage so throw the pipes at him. anything you can throw at him do so

Im assuming that you need to him to smash into the pillars to break them, though hes quite content to just constantly throw rocks at the pillars non stop lol..

I think this boss is one of those, please play this section of the game co-op moments. Not much help to those of us living outside of the stable internet connection coverage.

There are several simple approaches to use in defeating him, requiring only a little strategy and patience. Dodge is particularly useful in this fight.

For example ~ at the start when your facing all the normal zeds, leave at least one alive. This will give you all the time you need to thoroughly scavenge everything in the arena ( pipes, hammers, throwing knives, rebars, planks, firecrackers and a couple of knives ). Keep the more useful weapons and dismantle the junk for repairs on the fly. Also, there are several LP tanks lying about to use.

Firecrackers are very effective in distracting him away from you allowing you to jump in and get a few shots at his armor with the hammer.

Position yourself so that he'll charge and stun himself, leaving him completely vulnerable for several seconds.

There are others, but these are just basic tips. Good luck 👍

Can you somehow restart this sequence?? As I said before the game tried to recover my save file and as such I've already collected all the knives and weapons in the arena, it placed me in the same moment with an empty inventory save for a DIY dagger that's unusable due to the corrupted save file which considers it a main weapon and not a throwable. Which disappeared when I dropped it.


I can pick up a few pipes and eventually a few table legs will spawn but even with him unarmored the pipes do about 10-15 damage lol...... throwing a pipe at his head can get me up to 50 damage..

Maybe I can open the game up to 4 players and we can all have a hay day bashing him with table legs and pipes.. lol

I'm not certain, but you may be able to set another mission as active ( Q-zone or the like ), quit, restart and fast travel out.

Use all the weapons you find to deal with the zombies. Jump on the Demolishers head.
No need to use any weapons on the Demolisher. Use firecrackers to distract the Virals. They can get you killed fast when the Demolisher starts to throw concrete at you.
