Do you guys know where I can get a golden fabulous pickaxe or a golden legendary pickaxe?

I need to know where I can get one as I need it to make a 7k damage volatile hunter baton. If you have one (note you don't have to) you could give me one.

Really though, the difference between orange and gold isn't that much, so the fastest way is just to find a vendor next to a bed and farm a bunch of oranges. The goldens have 26 more durability and an extra repair, damages are ridiculous for both (with 3 King/Clickers and the VHB):
Orange = 6838
Gold = 7070

Misc. Tips:
Remember that VHs will delete Weapon Upgrades, so add those last. Also, stats vary, so just purchase the best quality. You could also add "Extravagant" to your list, since all 3 have identical stats, just different skins. Loot tables change periodically, so if no good ones spawn, change vendors or try at some later time.

thanks, so are you sure the pickaxes are on the loot pool for the weapon dockets? As I just found 4 codes and got 4 golden weapons.

Yup, I've had many of them. I use the orange VHBs as throwing weapons, since I can replace them easily at vendors. The golds I tend to save for melee and spares.

The only thing I havn't gotten from dockets are Katanas, but that may just be bad luck.

ok one more question, do I have to be a certain level or point in the game for the pickaxe to do over 3k damage? as the 4 golden weapons I got from the codes did 1.6k

Survivor level 25 is your best bet. That way you don't have to keep refarming them as stat ranges change.

Hello guys, I'm bringing this thread back from the dead [heh] I'm having no freaking luck with the Golden Pickaxes... I did and re-did the Prison lots of times and I can get everything in the Guru Loot, from knifes to Skullmaces and all, butno luck with the pickaxes... Can someone hint where I could get one?

i got several wen i farmed turtle for leg levels..but they are horrible slow... u will die a lot...also police vans in old town is very good way to farm...watch some of videos u will see route

There is a fairly new pinned topic about docket codes.

Save the ones from Bozak mission and trade them in. Certain thresholds of progress provide them. There is an old farming method I never tried too, not sure if it still functions, here is a video:

The invasion mode has some random chance to drop good weapons (victory rewards). May not be efficient though unless farming with friends for fast automatic victories.

Random drops in the better containers around the world, but I have not see many gold weapons searching them. An example would be GRE chests, just remember, this is the probably the least efficient farming method in game.

Other than that, just the prison which you already tried.

I've crafted them into the exploit version of Vault Hunter Batons (recipe from DLC).

Interupt recovery animations if using them as pick axe, it works great on non-legendary, since Stamina burn is an issue. To do this, quickly kick opponents in front of Crane, or use grapple in close quarters combat.

Thanks a lot guys. I've tried doing the Turtle exactly for the legendary levels, but it gives so little XP that after a few levels it doesn't compensate anymore. It was patched recently as I could see. Fighting the zombies is not a problem when you have the cloak potion. It gives you enough time to run in and grab the two packages remaining.

I've never seen a GRE chest in game, seriously. I didn't even knew it existed! I've never tried the Bozak horde because I believe it will have the same results as the Prison's. I've wanted one Fabulous or another Golden Pick Axe so I can use to craft a golden Last Hope weapon with the best damage I can.

I'll try leveling up a little more and do the Prison from time to time. Hopefully I'll get mine some day. I can't stand the Gonunabas and Skullmaces anymore xD
