Why the following is so boring
for me atleast the following dlc is really boring compared to the main original game because in there you drive 1-2km to talk to someone for like 20seconds and then drive another 3km to talk to another guy then another 1km to do the actual mission the following is really boring

It will pickup as you do more missions, also activate every mission you can on the boards at jasir's place and the gas station and just work from area to area if ya don't like running around too much

for me its the opposite the main game is a bit boring besides the sidequests however yeah i can sort of understand the driving for 2km to talk to a guy but honestly once your parts are level 5 or 6 its super fast.

i will say this tho: FINISH THE DLC it's VERY good in the end. the ending(s) ARE Canon btw. if you question it. Lol
Guess if you're a fan of driving you would enjoy it more, but yeah I preferred using parkour to get around

Copy this here.
While I didn't mind it in TF ( buggy was cool and the controls were super smooth and responsive ), I don't care for " game driving " in general.

I enjoy huffing it on foot and exploring. I guess it all depends on what your into.

I jump back and forth between main and TF, while enjoying a change in terrain, gameplay, enemies, mowing zombies. Variety adds spice.

PS ~ one word in defense of TF " Landmines ".

Tote a few of those back to the Campaign for " problem solving ". Delightful :steamhappy:

Same. This is the only game i have liked the parkour in. I really enjoyed the feeling of running around the city. Why they decided to move to driving when the base game is so much around parkour makes no sense to me.

I enjoyed new game mechanic[driving], the dual ending and appreciated being allowed to 'make the call'; it finished the Main Storyline just fine for me, and made more sense than the Main Campaign ending. I think of The Following as somewhat like the Ryder White DLC from Dead Island series. It tied up some loose ends, but didn't really give any new mechanics; I could see it as perhaps the proof of concept/alpha, while TF is certainly an extension. I know it's 'apples and oranges' between the experiences but being from the same Dev Team, I can see some similarities. It was fun in DI to drive through the Zeds...best weapon in the game!

In fact, waiting[forever] for DL2 had me pickup DI:DE on sale and go back and relive the Island Paradise of Banoi with new graphics and environmental content. Same janky-ness exists, but hey...you get to drive through the Zeds...FTW! Oh, and I kinda liked 'Rage Out' meter.

Oh man, I'd forgotten all about the " rage " perk 👍 I had some good play in DI.
