Night Hunter is so defenseless, it feels like a joke.
First of all, despite the NIght Hunters appearance, it's about as resistant as a piece of toilet paper. I thought this might change when unlucking the new mutations, but NOPE! Even though the skin on the first mutation only LOOKS tougher, you're just as vulnerable. Now, this wouldn't be an issue if you could dodge a player's attacks. However, you CAN'T do that AT ALL! They can easily dodge every single one of your tackles without breaking a sweat, but if they dropkick you, they succeed EVERY. EFFING. TIME. Realistically, you could slap them in mid-air like a wasp, grab them by the leg and throw them elsewhere, you name it! There's no real cooldown either, since I've once been dropkicked 3 timesd IN A ROW, bofore I could go anywhere. Oh, but what about the ground pound? Well, by the time you're able to walk again, you're already dead or on 30 health. It's not even good for putting out flares, since you're still gonna be dead by the time you can move again. Especially against more than one human. They don't seem to take fall damage from your ground pounds and tackles either, so what's the point?! And the biggest BS of all are the mutations. Do they really expect you to start with the exact same pile of nothing that you started out with, just so you can unlock merely a SINGLE new ability at the end? Oh yes. Yes, they do. Is it worth it? Oh no. No, it's not.

Sorry for the wall of text that I have laid upon you, but I really wanted to point out how frustrating unrewarding the Night Hunter mode is. I still play it, because it's still fun once in a while. But the balancing makes it really hard to enjoy sometimes. Feel free to tell me what you think about it.

That's it from me. Have a nice day.

I'm guessing you're pretty new to the Night Hunter and don't quite understand how to play it if you wrote this long of a post over just how vulnerable the hunter is.

no.. you can thank your lack of dedication to learning when to attack and how to avoid being dispatched quickly.

I'll admit that I'm rather new to the mode (only unlocked the first mutation so far) and that I wrote a lot more than I needed to, but my main point is: The survivors can dodge nearly all of your attacks, while the Hunter can dodge almost none of the theirs, which can get really frustrating.

That and how little the mutations give you for how much you have to do for them, since you're never getting any more health, better resistance to bullets, etc. Especially since the first mutation looks thougher, being covered in thick scales and all, but not being able to take any more hits than a level 1 hunter.

Thank you, I appreciate it, Dave, but my hunter isn't anything special.

I suggest you learn a couple of the basic tricks the hunter has such as tendril sprinting and gp spit. The hunter is nothing without its spits, be careful with how you use them and make sure you don't waste them.

The hunter is still underpowered. Just not as bad as OP claims it to be.
