Using a PS4 controller lags the game (FIX HERE)

Dudes i had this problem months ago and i remember getting it fixed but i dont remember how.. now its literally stuttering again but i know i can run this on even high 60 fps..

GTX 1060 6GB
I5 4590K3.5GHZ
8 GB RAM.

FOUND THE FIX: ok it looks like i fixed it, to anyone who is stuttering with a PS4 controller : go to big picture mode and to the settings Disable use PS4 controller settings and enable the Xbox. so this way its like you are using an xbox controller this is the only way it works atleast for me

Nope tried vsync off and on ingame didnt work :/

Turn it off in control panel it overrides in game and for some reason the game bounces between being locked at 30fps and 60fps which happens about every half a second and makes it unplayable

vertical sync is already off in my global control panel settings.

okay i think i know whats going on here.. if i play with mouse and keyboard the game is totally fine, no lag at all.. but if i play with the ps4 controller it lags like hell.. i also noticed how the buttons keeps changing to the xbox layout,but when i press a button on my ps4 controller it changes to the ps4 buttons layout for less then a second then change to xbox again , so its when i play with a controller only.. how can i fix this?

i just tried using the 360 controller and theres no lag, so ps4 controller is doing this.. :(

there is nothing wrong with using a controller on PC.. im as pc master race as they come but i still use a controller for some games. not this particular game but any driving game or platform game plays heaps better on controller

Dav3, are you just dumb or just willing to argue when you are wrong? There is everything wrong with playing a PC game in pvp vs player using a keybaord and mouse with a controler. If you cannot see that, you should go back to mobile gaming.

Both works, everyone has their preference. Controller is a lot more relaxed, M&K is a lot more accurate. As for PVP I'd hav to agree that M&K is probably superior for most.

Dying Light isn't only made up of PVP though, so it's a perfectly fine idea to play it with a controller.

oh here we go i been expecting a user like you.. first of all why do u care what i use? IM gonna use it NOT you, second the reason why im using a controller is because i cant use a mouse for a while if honestly for the rest of my life unless i do surgery because i got a medical condition, and yes.. i do miss playing pc games such as CSGO, L4D2 and some MMOS including Runescape :( and this is the reason why i been playing PS4 more then the PC lately..

Also note: i dont play PVP in this game, i only play either SP or coop PVE
