(MAC) HUGE Glitches
So my game plays well I’ll be having fun randomly certain areas or after playing for a while the game will freeze. No frame drops just legit everthing freezes. I don’t have this problem on it their games. I don’t have frame drop before it will go from butter smooth frames to frozen and I can’t move

This is the only game this happens with

Yeah same here. You see a lot of
com.apple.DumpGPURestart
in your System.log when this happens? I think it must be something about their game engine that's choking up the GPU. It's not the hardware, this is happening on a 2019 MacPro with a Radeon VII. I haven't heard back from support either.

There's a dedicated Mac help sub-forum in the main Steam community forums. Might be helpful.

For future reference; including you specs and OS version is a good idea.

Okay, I swapped out my Radeon VII for a 5700XT and, although it's noticeably a little slower, it's giving me no problems with Dying Light, still on max settings—not even a stutter! Based on the visual artifacts I was seeing I really think the Radeon VII was overheating and I'm going to have to look into professional GPU repair.

I'm so happy. I hadn't played a smooth game like that in quite awhile!

macOS 10.15.3, 2019 MacPro, 48GB RAM

damn ... i envy you ... my friend bought his mac pro 2019 + apple XDR PRO display just for playing world of warcraft on 6 k and dying light ...

we should be friends lol all of my friends play games on macos only

his spec costed like 20000$ ....its nothing to him since his parents take care of the supplementary card expense ... i wish i would have loving normal parents like that instead of human trash like mine ......

Anyone having issues with night vision booster? Every time I use it, nothing happens

I talked to the developer they blamed performance issues on iOS that the game wasn't made for new version of ios so it will probably be glitchy that's what they said to me.

This is late but hope it helps someone. If playing on Mac use this script to set the egpu preference it modifies plists and seems to be more effective than manual setting it. I was having issues with Dying Light on my 2019 MacBook Pro and my dedicated GPU Radeon 5500m was doing better than my eGPU Radeon 580x. The performance has improved all around when applying to all apps you can follow the guide here https://9to5mac.com/2018/07/01/egpu-acceleration-internal-display-mac-apps-macos-video/.
