Why is my clock missing?

Isn't there supposed to be a clock on the upper right when you open the menu? It's not there in my game. I thought maybe it would show up after some night missions, but I've now completed the first Air Drop mission and still no clock.

i dont remember where the clock is cos time was never something i cared about but if you have an outfit on that allows you to see your watch you can use the one handed weapon throw animation to see your watch at any time. no need to throw the weapon

im also missing mine, some guy joined my game, we started doing missions and he brought me to a place where i died. he then left the game. I loaded up the next night and my clock is missing.
im about 56% done the game, have tried completing most of the missions on my log and the issue still persists!
i can check my watch in a pinch by getting ready to throw a melee, but i would like to have it back in my inventory
any help would be appreciated.
(could it be i started the game over online with some newbies? maybe i have to join another early game to finish that very first quest that gives you the clock?)

I always found the clock useful.

Try simply verifying the game file integrity and a system reboot.

If the new guy is in the first, say, five missions or so in the story of the campaign, that is probably going to not allow your clock to show up either. My guess is that the game considers the level and story of the individuals involved, though I cannot be certain since I do not play co-op, at least yet.

The clock will not show up until you progress the campaign far enough, as Blade Master mentioned.

In the early mission, time of day does not really advance, so there is no clock shown in inventory. The watch might show time on the wrist, but it stays at the same time.

By the same token, co-op cannot be played in the Prologue.
