Mouse feels terrible
There's some inherent mouse smoothing, acceleration, or frame input limit that's resulting in the mouse movement feeling terrible. Didnt bother spending more than 3 seconds on trying to figure out what it was.

Only got as far as the main menu, checked the control settings and only saw options for sensitivity. Alt+f4'd and im about to refund.

any known fixes for whatever the hell this is?

There is also a setting for Mouse Smoothing. You might only get that setting if you are at the Main Menu, or perhaps only in-game. I'll take a quick look and see where it is.

But my memory is it was just right above or below the Mouse Sensitivity slider.

Yep:

From the Main Menu > Options > Controls > Then if Keyboard & Mouse is at the top shown, you have three lines beneath it.

1) Mouse Sensitivity In-Game,
2) Mouse Sensitivity in Menu,
3) Mouse Smoothing is the lowest one.

Make sure there is no orange in it, or that you click and/or drag the setting line as far to the left as you can go, that turns off Mouse Smoothing completely. That is how it is for me, as I turn it always off.

It defaults to off but it still feels like dragging the mouse thru mudd. yeah... refund time.

Over mouse movement...really ? :steamfacepalm:
Just can't be bothered to work that trivial little issue out huh ? It's probobly best you refund it ~ with your ambition, you wouldn't be able finish the Prologue anyway.

lol any game that cant use raw input (or hell, even directx input) deserves to be refunded. makes me feel sick when i move the mouse and it takes five years for the screen to update position. was only trying it because it was on sale from 70 to 20. wouldnt be worth it even if they were paying me the $20.

1:1 movement, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

oh what rule did i break? if i did, ill correct it, but other than that it sounds like your just trying to defend bad devs and/or engines.

that very well could be the problem, does it run at <30fps in menus? if so it would lock to 15 which would explain it...

that fixed my mouse movement in game, i dont know about menus though.

thanks @Adrian

There's my point. See how simple that was without the drama ? I would've tossed the v-sync cure to you, but your post made me cringe.

Mouse movement does seem slightly off, even with V sync and mouse smoothing off. Its normal for games that run on consoles as well, not sure why. It's not really an issue, I can just feel its not 100% right when you use guns and have to actually aim.

Trouble with turning off v-syc is then you get screen tearing.

Not everyone. V-Sync is this weird thing that affects peoples computers in different ways. In some games it can solve issues for some people, and others it doesn't. Depends on hardware it seems.
