It's a shame takedown and allmost all other abilities don't work on Volatiles.
I know, it's for balancing reasons and to show how evolved and terrifying Volatiles are.
But I think Takedown is actually an ability that would improve gameplay, rather than unbalance the game (I don't mind the others not working, like dropkick and such).
When you attack a Volatile, even if it's a one hit/one kill, the chase alarm is automatically started.
So it would be the player choice: risk a chase by other volatiles and evolved volatiles or simple stealth them and go forward.
Just like it happens when you kill a Bolter at night. ;)
I assume your getting the prompt, but no action with the F key. Have you tried smply rebinding it ?
Weird, would you send me your save files so I can investigate it?
