Im confused about the game versions
So, i've google around a little but the more I read the more confused I get.

I've bought the original base game back when it was launched (named only "Dying Light").
I haven't played the game for a long time, but I remember receiving e-mails about free updates and content, so I'm not sure about what I have right now...

I can see on Steam Page that the package named "Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition" (http://store.steampowered.com/sub/88801/) comes with:
1. Dying Light (Base Game)
2. Dying Light Season Pass
3. Dying Light- Crash Test Skin Pack
4. Dying Light: The Following

However, when I go into the Season Pass page (http://store.steampowered.com/app/335810/Dying_Light_Season_Pass/), it says this:
"Get the Season Pass and receive the fourth content drop – Dying Light: The Following – completely free"

My questions now are:
1. If I intend to get all game content EXCEPT FOR SKINS, what is my best option when buying?
2. I feel that it is the Season Pass. Am I correct?
3. Is my version of the game the "Enhanced Edition" already or not?
4. What happens if I buy the full "Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition" since I already own the game?

Thank you!

If you bought the basic version, then all you got is the basic version. The info about free updates you received through e-mails concerns the 10 in 12 campaign, on which Techland will release, in a monthly basis, 10 free content updates. 3 packages are already out.

As for your other questions, check this:

Indeed it answered, thank you!
Only question that remains is "4", but who cares about that...

Oh, sorry, here's the answer:
If you already own the basic version, you are actually unable to buy the Enhanced Edition because it also contains the base game, and you can't add the same item to your account more than twice.

What you can do now is buying the Season Pass to obtain the biggest DLC packages you lack, and get the remaining non-Season Pass DLCs if you want to complete your collection.

Buy season pass, that'll give you everything you need. Including The Following and Bozak Horde.

Season pass will include:

1. The Following
2. The Bozak Horde
3. Cuisine & Cargo
4. Ultimate Survivor Bundle

Don't buy Enhanced Edition, unless it's cheaper than season pass, then go with it. I don't know about regional prices.

Also yes, besides the store page name of Enhanced Edition which includes paid DLC, base game doesn't include paid DLC, Enhanced Edition is also a name of free patch that adds Nightmare mode, Legend skill-tree, graphics and etc, this free patch is included in base game and it's for free, so yes you have it even if you haven't bought Enhanced Edition.

Your best choice would be buying whichever is cheapest, these choices are:

1. Enhanced Edition
2. Season pass
3. The Following + Bozak Horde

Buy whichever costs less.

Wrong. OP says already owns the basic version, so, like I said earlier, already owning the basic version renders them unable to buy the enhanced edition. Steam accounts can not own the same item more than twice.

Then there is the Badblood PvP coming out too.

Are you sure about that? If so do you have any confirmation?

Steam should still allow purchase as said here - https://i.imgur.com/G9RYxIb.png and https://i.imgur.com/iNAzMD8.png

Wow, thanks a lot guys! I think now I'm settled with my issues :)
I will probably wait for a discount on the Season Pass now

Well, if you are able to, then I think it depends on what basic version you own. My version is, probably, the same OP owns, and I'm unable to buy the Enhanced Edition, but I do happen to have all of the contents. Not sure if that's the reason.

That doesn't make sense. I have Enhanced Edition and I can still purchase Enhanced Edition for myself but you only have base game but can't purchase Enhanced Edition?

Probably it's because you already have other DLC. But someone who doesn't should be able to purchase it, I remember I read somewhere that someone did, though don't know if it was on console or PC.

It makes all the sense. My version of the BASE GAME was bought before the Enhanced Edition came as a replacer to the "Gold Edition", just like the OP. The remaining content was bought afterwards.

I think because I own everything contained in Enhanced Edition I'm unable to buy it again, which makes sense.

The OP should be able to buy this version, then, but they will still be charged again for the base game, which may not be a good deal.

I guess so.

Actually no, it's opposite. If Enhanced Edition is cheaper than season pass, then buying Enhanced Edition is the best choice, because it'll actually result in getting more DLC as well compared to season pass, not just paying less.

If season pass contains more than the 4 DLC I mentioned above or not isn't confirmed. But it's confirmed that Enhanced Edition contains many other DLC than just this.

Note: I just noticed that season pass got its price reduced to $14, at least for my region. I remember it costing more than that, around $26 or $29 something, which is good for OP.

Yes, as of it is now:
Season Pass costs R$65
The Following costs R$45
Bozak Horde costs R$17
Enhanced Edition (with everything) costs R$130

So I guess Season Pass is the best for me in price + stuff, since it has The Following (45) + Bozak (17) + Cuisine & Cargo (cant find price) + Ultimate Survivor Bundle (10)

"Season Pass - Contains everything released so far, except Gun Psycho, Harran Ranger, Volatile Hunter and Crash Test Skin Pack."

Yeah, looks like season pass is best for you.

Just note, I think you're counting price of Enhanced Edition a bit incorrectly. It should be R$ 79,99 for you no? According to https://steamdb.info/app/239140/

To make something clear, when one purchases Enhanced Edition, they don't need any other DLC, neither season pass. But it's still costly for you, so go with season pass.
Unleasher Mar 22, 2018 @ 10:35am
Now that makes me confused again...

I can see that the price for that in US is $39.99 or R$79,99, but if you take a look at this: https://steamdb.info/sub/88801/ it is $59.99 or R$129,99 which I believe is the correct package which comes with everything...

Isnt that correct?
