How do YOU level up your Legend levels?
Just wanting to see what everyone does to level up their legend levels the fastest ^^

And am I right in thinking that the 'highest' weapon damage after upgrades & mods is roughly at the 2500 mark?

If you're looking for fastest possible way to level up, that's obtaining 3 DROP method from Stuffed Turtle quarantine zone.

There's guide on my profile for it if you need.

Otherwise, my personal way of level up Legend is just playing invasions, Nightmare mode of course.

Stuffed Turtle Quarantine is the fastest honestly, but at begining you may have bit hard time.
If you're about 20 - 30 Legend level already it should be EZ.

I normally do Quarantines with Disaster Relief Packages just collect few and cash it in. If you haven't notice you will only need 1.5M to level up each time and it doesn't changes.

I think about 15 - 20 boxes will definitely level you up once. I do it all in Nightmare mode so while doing the Quarantine zone I maybe getting bit exp as well. So it may have affect on how many packages I need to level up.

Also just do the story quests they give lot of EXP as well. If you're badass enough explore at night and kill zombies at night, heck even try to round up some Volatiles have a good game of catch and lose them you will get quite decent EXP when you survive till morning.

My advice on how to level up fast is DON'T TAKE RISK, always watch your HP, don't do anything stupid and get overwhelm and die, that's what happened to me at start and took me forever to level up. Try not to die at all the more you die logically the longer it takes. It really HURT your progress trust me....

If you have friends then better, ask them to join up and just keep slaying zombies. Slaying ton of zombies yield quite bit decent EXP just kill them for fun. But as again, if you're now at a low level it be a problem. Now my Shotgun is capable of doing 4300 damage because of my Legend level...I can mow zombie down like hot knife through butter....and I'm only at level 7 Legendary Level for Guns.

So yeah just have to work hard, good night and good luck !

About weapons.. Not really. It depends on what weapon is it. Two handed can have almoste 5k, knife 2k if I am not mistaking and etc

It depends on your Legendary level as well. My 1Handed is able to deal much as 2K now with Mods. 2Handed it's over 2500 without any Legendary level but with Mods.

My Ranger 1100, Engraved Shotgun 4300, Riflle 660, Golden German Pistol about 530
I heard Bows have lot more damage than guns, I haven't try it. Currently I'm only at level 7 for Guns

@Blademaster & Grim
Thanks! Stuffed turtle is perfect. Yea I was level 10 legendary and did 3 runs on Nightmare within 10mins and it threw me up to lv13 :) Could happily do that over and over for a time.

@Xzit & Grim
Good to know about the legendary levels. Whenever I looked at the damage stat I always assumed that was the 'base' number, and that the % damage increase would just kinda be added when I hit a zombie. I did remove the legendary stats and saw the damage of my weapons go down, so that's great to know :)

Thanks guys, I believe I'll be set for a good while - farming Stuffed Turtle away haha

Don't get the '3 drop' method part (didn't read the guide as much - though I did rate it). I just get all 5 drops in Stuffed Turtle? Doesn't take more than 2 minutes to do so. Not 'hard'.. even on Nightmare, can just sprint through/over the infected in the 2nd room.

keep in mind the higher your legend rank gets the more exp u need for the next level.. so by around level 100 it starts taking alot longer to level up from drops

@Dave

Yea haha I know, still faster than my initial way of going around killing infected for XP :P

The 3 DROP method means, you enter the zone, grab all 3 DROP(s), quit via menu or door, then repeat. This is final method for people who only want experience and nothing else, might be boring for some, but this is ultimately fastest way.

Grabbing 5 DROP(s) is good if you are new, as this is more fun than 3.

It depends, it's all up to you however you want to play.

My personal advice would be, take it slow. The Legend skill-tree isn't as important as still enjoying the game, play however you get the most fun and feel most comfortable.

As of the weapons and damage, see this thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/239140/discussions/0/1694917906670293714/

I completely agree. I've spent a great deal of time (imo) enjoying the game, just appreciating everything Techland has done with it.

Generally speaking though I like to complete games on the highest difficulty etc. So I find it a little frustrating when I have to hack 3-6 times to kill a standard infected (in Nightmare). So I'm hoping by speed levelling my Leg levels a bit - I'll be able to watch zombies fall apart easier hehe :)

Once you get 25 points in One Handed Legend you will find the damage of a nice machete to be about 2800. Throw on a Strobe Knight blue print and 3 kings and that modded machete will do about 5200 - 5300 maxed out.

A nice Engraved Semi Auto Shotgun will do about 8000+ damage maxed out. A top handgun will do about 1000+.

Also a nice thing to do is farm some packs at the ST and save them. Then just run around and play. If you get about 50% - 75% done then just figure out how many packs you need to level and cash those in. If you are on nightmare (and you should be if you want to level up) this will help prevent losing all those points if you are killed.

I also just noticed in the 2nd room (which is an easy lockpick) - you're guaranteed 1-2 Gauze as well as 3 unlocked-lockers with 3-6 items, often power cables and the like.

I feel like that's slightly worth going for(at least for me).

I've timed myself 3 times on my phone, from the second I 'accept' the challenge, I got:
1m 01s
1m 06s
1m 04s

To collect all 5 relief packages as well as open the 3 lockers & medi cabinet. :) Decent!

Thank you again for the guidance fellas :)

Don't forget ! You can Respec AS MUCH AS YOU WANT ! So just mess around with the levels you gained. If you feeling trigger happy now dump more into your guns.
If you're feeling bit weak maybe dump some into HP and the Recovery is important too !
( Not Regeneration ) It affects how much HP your medkit will heal so the more HP you have the higher Recovery you should have ! Also tehcnically it affects how fast your medkit heals you too !

When I thought it's only 1.5M EXP flat ?? Because now I'm already Level 42, EXP required to Level 43 it's still only 1.5M. It's been like so since I was like Level 28, only at that moment I notice it. Did you mean by Level 1 - 25 ?? Because I didn't see what's the EXP required around those levels lol..

Yea, melee is by far my fave :) Fun to separate limbs and watch them crawl haha.

After a quick google, it's not 1.5m flat, it gradually increases after a chunk of levels:

Aww....and 15M was so easy to level up....wait I think there's bit typo here....I clearly recall it's only 1.5M...it couldn't be 15M could it ?!?!
Well least I won't see higher requirement til I'm Level 90
