Hello survivors! Your feedback is really important for us, so please share your thoughts about the patch and the event in this thread!

• We've added new types of live events
  
• Some minor bugs are now gone
  
• The issue with crashes in The Old Town for the Japanese version of the game is now fixed

That's not all, because today Dying Light meets Left 4 Dead 2 in an exciting crossover event!

Two infected worlds collide and you will be in the thick of it. As a homage to Valve’s magnificent co-op zombie shooter, we brought Left 4 Dead 2 into Dying Light in an exciting crossover event!

To recreate the memorable feel of L4D2 in our game, we’ve introduced some gameplay tweaks. Expect a lot of Virals, whose numbers we’ve increased to push the attacking hordes into overdrive and intensify your fight for survival as you face waves of infected coming for you. To even out the odds and shift combat towards Valve-esque territory, we’re also more generous with guns and ammo for you to find.

We’re sure you’re gonna love what comes next! The icing on the cake is the inclusion of three iconic Left 4 Dead 2 melee weapons: Electric Guitar, Frying Pan, and Golf Club. You will find the blueprints in the free DLC, but the most badass variants (orange and gold) are available as rewards for completing challenges and three special Bounties during the event. Go get these toys and have fun delivering crushing riffs, serving killer dishes, and improving your golf swings!

So, survivors, remember about these things:

• Quartermaster will be giving out free guns for those ready for the hunt
  
• Safe Zones will give you the ammunition you need

And, once more, these are the new weapons available now:

• Frying Pan
  
• Electric Guitar
  
• Golf Club

I didn't realize it was the event causing the virals to come kill me. I started my first game of dying light on pc, expecting to play what I have played on console. I saw the guns and asked "why?" I didn't take it, went outside, and fought groups of virals one after the other with 2 pipes, a rusty wrench, and a table leg.

You cannot currently disable community event participation from within the prologue/tutorial section.

Can you default the event to off for new players? Or make it more obvious that it's on or something.

Dear Techland team,those aggressive zombies are just gorgeous. Please do not remove them after the event ends. Or make this aggression optional so that you can enable it in the game settings.

I wish we got some Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 skins instead of the weapons if I had to choose between the items. Any chance we could see skins make their way over. I gotta play as my boys Francis or Nick, even if it's just their clothes. If it's just their clothes, god would it be funny and I would love to see Crane in Zoey's outfit lol.

Haven't even been able to join the event, I looked everywhere and haven't been able to start it. Restarted steam and my PC. Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game. Nothing

You need to go under online options and make sure community events are enable

having trouble with the game its keep freezing during game play (Start menu) or during game play. the logs crash state.....

tried delete and reinstall game (Include save file) but its the same , also try others ways on the internet but with no success.
im using window 10 64-bit operating / core i7-8700 / 16gb ram / rtx 2070

For those who do not know how to stop the event simply turn off online activities in game menu.

just starting t he game in 2019 during this l4d2 event and i was raging so fing hard. Nothing on google nor youtube and saw how zombies would not even chase you in these youtube walk throughs. So, i decided to look here and bam. Now the game is super easy like it should be for certain games when starting off lol

Is the guns and free ammo will be gone after event end ?

I bought the game in this event, as it las a attractive deal. The first mission is to go that trailer nearby to get a shot of the drug. Well, it took me 4 times. 2 secondsa after getting out of the big building (the tower?) 7-8 running zombies come, regardless of any sneak attempts. After 30 seconds a whole brigade is running after me without rest. They even killed me in one of the cut-scenes lol (had no control).

I was playing on Normal (the lowest setting), and after watching a few gameplay videos on youtube, I had some sort of expectation. Well... it will be an understatement to say my guard was low. For a moment I though I really suck at this game.

Then I realized an event is taking place and regardless of the "offline" mode, I am affected. Thanks to other people in here I found I can turn off the event.
