Household Supplies (Harran Slums/Old Town)
I know where this crafting item is generally found, and I know further that there a few spots in both locations that consistently spawn one. But are there any locations that regularly spawn multiple household supplies?

Note that I'm specifically asking about the Slums and Old Town locations, not the one notable location from The Following DLC.

Google for the youtube video, showing a house location in the addon "The Following" where these can be farmed. Other than that: No. The devs f*cked up with the item amounts on many important items and the ingame economy.

Edit:
To be more precise: You'll get alcohol and metal parts in ridiculous amounts while running low on items such as household supplies, plastic, string (which should've been named "cloth" instead). The devs didn't ever bother to fix this because they do their own thing and don't try to refine their game.

Logically plastic should be found in huge amounts in the trash, string (aka cloth) in the many bags found in public places and busses, household supplies in any flat regularly. It's just not the case. Item color indicators neither indicate sell value nor rarity correctly in many cases.

There must be a place with a lot of baskets and fridges you could walk through. The market by the fake antizin lab might be good.

Theres a side quest that requires LOTS of alcohol so be sure you have enough to start with

The biggest reason I don't run out of household supplies and plastic:

After "First Assignment: Get onto the building's roof and contact the GRE" and before "First Assignment: Arm more car traps", use Quit/Load cycling to farm firecrackers. Progress Spike's dialogue near cars to receive firecrackers.

Second reason is farming supplies at Quarter Masters (Normal and Nightmare):

Sleep cycle twice, then check for random stock of most crafting supplies (discounting Electronics, Power Cables, and special items). This works best while Spike is available as a quarter master, near the doctor's trailer, since the bed is adjacent to Spike; alternatively, both QM's may have household supplies during each farming run.

add- forgot to mention:
QM's also have String.
Vendors have items also, such as Plastic, Power Cables, etc.

The building on the RR tracks by the Bazaar with the first floor pharmacy ( enter through the roof ). A VERY good spot for looting various supplies each time 👍

How about the New Antalya Apartments quarantine zone? It has 6 refrigerators, baskets, A very hard box and GRE crates. You can do runs back to back. Need to do lock picking to get at some fridges.

Oooo, thanks, I'm going to have to check this out (haven't done many of the quarantine zones yet).

Hopefully DL2 won't have this stupid material grinding nonsense. Quit reload pick it up quit reload pick it up. Gee that's a lot of fun! <.<
The dev should make crafting actually meaningful and not the ♥♥♥♥ they did in this game. IMO
