Survival sense not working
Hey, i just started playing this game, and the survival sense skill doesn't work. I have it binded to Q, and when i press it, it deploys a wave around me, but the items doesn't get marked. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Check your game menu settings. I may be wrong, but I think there's a setting for that.

Maybe on Hard it doesnt work? Or maybe you have to keep pressed the key? It is really weird.

Why they call it hard.

On hard and nightmare survivor sense is only for sensing danger, can't use it to find loot or interactables.

And why would they make the collectibles more difficult to find, instead of danger? Wouldnt not knowing where your enemy is ACTUALLY make the game more difficult? Oh, i know why! BAD GAME DESIGN!!!!

Well, part of the changes make sense, like the decreased icon types and loss of vision cones on radar; however, some designers think that making mundane tasks more tedious increases challenge, while I see it as an annoyance. This is especially true for the color-blind, which may rely more on the visual prompts. Will deactivating interaction prompts make for more challenge? Sure, since players may overlook them and miss out, but I still shake my head in disbelief.

Well I guess they figured they give you something. Since they starve you for ammo to.
Hard is almost like the real normal.

Yes your right.

That is bad game design.

It makes first time playthroughs on hard or nightmare....well a nightmare. Since those playing first time might not know where everything is.

Though I don't know about hiding enemies, that would make night time strolls more pain in the ass then they are worth, though maybe add to the immersion.

"Oh no not again" Cant handle the truth, friend? Sorry, but some things are not the way you see them, the world is not your fun playground.

Thank god you admitted it. Im not trying to ruin this game's fame (even if i could). Its just that the dying light fan base usually only brings the good things about the game to the surface, but it has a lot of flaws, and i want to get that out there.

Yes, It absolutely does. And this is one of them.

The argument we have on another thread is about weapon degradation, I don't know what they were even thinking with this.

I mean, I guess they did not want to simply get rid of survivor sense on harder difficulty? or make it item only(though dodging volatiles would be a pain in the ass).

This games does have flaws, I have no arguments on that front.
