Why do so many people hate night invasions?
Half the time I get poor souls who have to play solo. Why do so many people, even those in groups, refuse to play against Night Hunters?

They dunno how to turn off invasions and aren't ready. I don't usually carry my invasion loadouts with me, no flares etc. Maybe they just prefer PvE over PvP. I remember it was hard to find a match that weren't four russian hackers.

Some my opinions:

Also invasion isn´t for everybody. As here it´s more about tactics than just about mashing some buttons. Yes, we have skills like drop kicking, etc. But if you loose track of night hunter or do some mistake, you usually end dead, pounced.

Invasion also stops any quest that players were curently doing, so they may not like it if they for example had hardly to climb to some place, only to abort the quest due invasion.

And of course due to different levels of Night hunters players can find it very annoying, when they fight against some newbies, who are easy to defeat, only later to come at pro high leveled night hunters, who will kill them fastly suddenly. So this difficulty spike may be also problematic for some people.
Cause they are horrible. They are incredibly unbalanced, and the game just isnt made for pvp. The zombies are insanely annoying, to the point where they can get you killed, either themselves or by distracting you. The only way to play a fair night invasion match is either by having a lvl 1 night hunter find one enemy player, or an apex predator finding 4 players, which is so rare, you will probably not experience it in you entire lifetime. Sorry man, but night invasion is an unfinished pvp videogame project, its objectively bad.
And btw let me just say that i play night invasion a lot, i used to play it even more on ps4. But the amount of people i find that use quick join is insane. People need to understand how horrible this mode is, including its matchmaking, and start using manual join.

Also ~ a fair amount of players ( such as myself ), for various reasons, simply don't enjoy it.

They should at least disable it though.

One reason I can think of is finding enough people who are competent. If you don't have a team that cooperates it's just an annoyance to be invaded. Also few years back when I used to play frequently on multiplayer I had a problem with NAT which apparently was a problem for many people(probably still is) making it almost impossible to find games let alone a full team.

I simply don't like the objective. It suddenly changes from slow stealth to running around like crazy all while the creatures position is constantly revealed.
It messes with the entire flow of the game just to shoehorn PvP into it.

I just had my first invasion, as a solo player. It's utter BS. I'm level 8 and I couldn't even destroy one nest. Now I play in private.

The game has no matchmaking at all. A night hunter can join with anyone they want.

That's also in part because the people who do have groups almost never allow night invasions, so solos are stuck getting them.

There should be some sort of system where a high level night hunter can only join multiple survivors, and once he prestiges, he goes back down to 1 survivor, then 2, 3 and then 4. I think that would fix that balance issue for the most part, cause some abillities are insanely op for a 1v1.
