Modded Save Files

I just got Dying Light on PC After a couple thousand hours on PS4 and i was wondering what would happen if i downloaded a modded save file.

I want to know if doing so would stop me from playing co-op with friends who don't have any mods. And if so are there any other methods of getting a completed save file and being able to play with friends soon?

last i checked a modded save file will only have modded items and abilities still intact if you use the same mod that was being used when the save file was created. it shouldn't cause any errors or bans but depending how heavily modded the game was the save file might be broken without the mod.
