The multiplayer is just kind of a tacked on something to do
I've played a bit of coop but I play singleplayer 95% of the time. Some of the end game content like the prison or bozak has some value to play multiplayer, but those really are just farming end game content for the sake of grinding because you like to grind repetitive content and you actually are expected to go as fast as possible, especially for the prison, its a pure speed test
One in depth play through single player experiencing everything there is to see is probably right around 60 to 100 hours of single player content, the multiplayer is either redoing it all again with a partner for no particular reason or doing the hour or so of content actually designed for coop, repeatedly forever
You get to play at your own pace and can take time doing missions
With randoms theyll just join and kill all the zombies for you
If ppl like that kind of stuff OK, but i am not obligated to like.
Anyway, apart from nighthunter content and achievements you are not missing anything. Not to mention that some ppl use dupped gear and gimmicks like that which make legit player's who grind and use their stuff wisely look like idiots.
The other place which would probably be fun to play coop is the following map, with buggy ppl might get rid of the hook for a while.
Harran prison also could be nice but that's it.
Coop with friends is multiplayer. Even the zombie mode is playable, but due to the rampant cheaters you will need to make friends and schedule a time to bash on each other
And that server still works, as I still get invaded/joined by random players to my public game.
That's not what he's referring to, by saying there's no servers he's saying there's no servers to play on
There never was, there's just a reference hub showing available games you can connect with peer to peer
No one has a server set up where the server is running the game itself and everyone else connects to that server location, there's a host and then you peer to peer connect with a host
Yes there's a server that lists those hosts, but it isn't a play server
As for if I'd recommend other people to play multiplayer or not.. I'd say play it with friends you know because if you open the match up publicly then people who are very overpowered will join and the game honestly won't be any fun then. (Unless you are one of those people who likes creative mode in games)
The only time I wanted to do it in multiplayer is when my friends play it. Nothing beats the fun when playing with your buddies and laughing from enjoyment of it together.
